E85 on both N/A and boosted cars is more for safety because it's a higher octane fuel (E85 is around 110 equivalent IIRC). But you will also drop your MPG down about 25-30% over 93.

This is what i think i was referring to, ford stock to e85 tuned... not 93 tune to e85 tuned.

Easy there hauss lol. I would NOT personally tune for E85 on an NA car, it's not worth it... to me. For those looking to set records for NA applications, it may very well be worth the hassle. Just not something I would do. As Derek stated, with boosted cars the gains are far greater.

It's worth it to me on an N/A car where I won't have to worry about heat issues with the #8 cylinder. It also allows for a slightly larger nitrous shot than on pump gas, if that's your thing.

I don't have a good before and after dyno on the same dyno, but my car picked up 9 mph in the 1/4 by going to E85 in some 50 degree air vs 93+Torco in 80 degree air. That's HUGE!

That also had a lot to do with the temp outside as well. I always ran faster in colder weather if I hooked.

Not sure what additive package Chevron is using, do they still advertise Techron? Texaco had the best additive and Shell used it for a while before they had the whole rebranding falling out but I think the switched to something that cost less.
