My 2013 Deep Impact GT

Don't have any quality DSLR pics yet, but plan on some later this week. Just too damn hot.

Just a quick iPhone4 pic my sister took. :emotions33:

http://i324.photobucket.com/albums/k...8/02b84c9e.jpg

All I've done so far is a billet stubby antenna from LRS (BBR brand, IIRC) and then an SVE Retro-style shift knob.

Barton 2-post bracket and JHR clutch line w/ DOT4 fluid are waiting to be installed in cooler weather.

Grandpa 07-31-2012 12:17 PM

Gorgeous! Congrats on the new ride D.

Phuck Phace 07-31-2012 12:28 PM

Nice

virtu 07-31-2012 12:53 PM

I am convinced - Deep Impact Blue is the BEST looking blue I have seen in a very long time.

DirtyD 07-31-2012 01:56 PM

Thanks, Steve.

virtu, I really relate this color back to the Sonic Blue days of the Terminators and Lightnings. I loved that color, and had plans of repainting my truck SB to match the car. LOL.

Plan on doing some shots of the car tonight in Downtown Fort Worth and possibly north of The Stockyards.

DirtyD 07-31-2012 11:05 PM

Got out and took some pics of the car this evening before the sun set too much.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this color!

:disgust:

j/k

It all honesty, the car sat lower than what I thought it would when I got it. Suspension still has some breaking in to do, because the bushings are louder than a bitch right now.

DirtyD 10-13-2012 10:51 PM

Well, I guess it's time I can finally update this thread with some goodies!

As most know, I have been working with David at Big Worm to develop a few things. Added the Charcoal vinyl tint to the tail lights...

http://dfw50s.com/picture.php?albumid=6&pictureid=30

Then we worked out some textured Carbon Fiber vinyl to do overlays on the hood vents...

http://dfw50s.com/picture.php?albumid=6&pictureid=41
http://dfw50s.com/picture.php?albumid=6&pictureid=40

I bought a passenger side JLT oil separator from Caleb...

http://dfw50s.com/picture.php?albumid=6&pictureid=27

Finally had enough of the heat and got my windows tinted, F35%/R20%...

http://dfw50s.com/picture.php?albumid=6&pictureid=26

I added some Redline Tuning QuickLIFT Plus hood shocks painted DIB by JLT Performance...

http://dfw50s.com/picture.php?albumid=6&pictureid=78

And today I installed the BMR springs and Freedom Racing Adj. PHB from Jayman at Hypermotive Performance!

I've also added a Barton Bracket v2 (2-post) and a Stiffler's DS Loop, but can't/didn't get any pics of those.

Sublime302 10-14-2012 12:06 PM

Congrats! this would have been my second color choice for sure!

Seeing all these guys pick up their new 13's are making me more anxious to get mine!!!!

JDBishopArts 10-14-2012 04:07 PM

What do you think about the freedom racing panhard? Is there a reason you didn't go BMR for that to? How much did both things put you back if you don't mind me asking. I need to do some suspension mods ASAP.

Grandpa 10-14-2012 04:22 PM

Looking good D!

I like it. Seems like a great unit, and DANG is it light. Haha.

I wanted to go with an aluminum PHB because it helps save a bit of weight, and I won't be pushing my car hard enough to worry about destroying the aluminum construction. And BMR only offers a steel par, of which is $45 more than the FRTD PHB.

I bought both the springs and PHB from Jayman, and I think it was around $370 for everything.

Yeah I like it a lot. Let me know if the PH Bar makes any unwanted noises. Did you do the install yourself?

Yeah, installed it myself. I got a heim axle side bushing, and a poly chassis side.

DirtyD 10-15-2012 11:28 PM

Was out earlier and just snapped a few more shots to show off the drop.

You will love it. :chewie:

Now I have to figure out the noise coming from the front....I think it may be the hydro bushings...

JDBishopArts 10-16-2012 08:46 AM

Wud Dew.

I know what springs I'm getting. Great look.

Luke 11-24-2012 06:46 AM

If people ask me for a good picture of my car, I think I'll just send them here instead. Next time I'm in town I may need to give you a shout and get some good pictures of them. My daughter and her fisher price camera take better pictures than I do!

pohnjarker 12-15-2012 04:34 PM

great pictures, car looks very nice.

If i couldnt find a sterling grey id have this color, looks good.

My 2013 Deep Impact GT

UPDATES!

Just like Nic, I got a STILLEN chin before Christmas, plasti-dipped it, and now need to dip it again haha.

http://i324.photobucket.com/albums/k...8/IMG_2453.jpg
http://i324.photobucket.com/albums/k...8/IMG_2450.jpg

Then I jumped on the V6/CS fog light bandwagon and scooped these up for a steal from Tousley Fords.

http://i324.photobucket.com/albums/k...DAA729074C.jpg
http://i324.photobucket.com/albums/k...DABC74FF70.jpg

Then I decided to bite the bullet on a CAI after finding a decent deal on a K&N 63 series intake on eBay. (Need to get a better picture)

http://i324.photobucket.com/albums/k...DA8684A2E6.jpg

And now, I have these goodies waiting in my living room to be installed next month. :D

http://i324.photobucket.com/albums/k...DA799CA253.jpg

Definitely going to get some updated pics after these go on.

merlinmol 01-23-2013 12:47 AM

Lookin' good, the chin spoiler doesn't look bad, still think the Roush is my favorite so far.

Thanks! I like the Roush, but not a fan of the complicated install I hear about it. I may go that route later on, but I think I may try and paint match this chin first to see how it looks.

DirtyD 02-04-2013 09:23 PM

Went out and took some pics last night instead of going to sleep like a normal person. I think some of them turned out pretty badass.

Yeah, it's not a look for everyone, but I think it works well. Even though the chin spoiler is on the bulky side, it still helps the front end flow better, and look a little more aggressive. As for the fogs, I want some actual dedicated fog lights, that work as fog lights. Plus, I think think they look better than those gay inserts that were there. LOL

DirtyD 12-30-2013 01:01 PM

Well I guess I should update this thread a little bit since I haven't touched it since February....

I ended up having the STILLEN chin spoiler (Jay Leno) painted back in May along with having the LP holes filled in the front bumper cover. Beau and his guys at Caliber Collision did an excellent job!

http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2820/1...b6a3aebf_b.jpg

Needed tires back in May after the stock Pirelli P-Zeros had reached the end of their life. Picked up a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports in a 255/40R19 & 275/40R19 stagger setup. Tires have been amazing for 14k miles so far, and still have a ton of life left. I haven't been able to really use them for their intended purpose yet, but I plan to come warmer weather. The taller rear tire gives the car a slightly exaggerated rake, which I love since it's a "Muscle" car.

http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5340/9...6af07f06_b.jpg

I finally got my fog lights (LED and GT/CS) wired up how I wanted them to be, but I don't have any pics right now. Waiting until after I install the 4300K HID kit I bought from The Retrofit Source.

Some other parts that got installed that have been sitting in the garage awhile. Got the 3" After-cat MRT Boss H-pipe installed as well as the infamous Whiteline bushing. The MRT H-pipe gave my car the exact sound I'm looking for, and will only sound that much more amazing when I get actual Boss side pipes to go with it. There are a few exhaust leaks I need to get welded up, but it's great so far. The Whiteline bushing has so far done exactly what it was meant to do. Normal shifting has actually gotten better when puting around town, and shifting under hard acceleration is GREATLY improved! I haven't put it to the full test yet, but I plan to. :D

BMR LCA relocation brackets are still sitting in the garage waiting for me to order some BMR LCAs to go with them all at once, along with a Reische 160° thermostat.

Future upgrades come tax refund season are going to be a set ofslotted and dimpled rotors front and rear with some street/track pads, stainless brake lines, full Amsoil fluid swap/flush, and maybe a GT500 spoiler.

So until then, here are some pics taken with my new Canon 17-85mm lens I got for Christmas.

It's a removable bracket that bolts to the lower grill.
