Re-Rx7's Sterling Grey 11'

Never posted any pics of my ride. So i figured I woud given the fact I just bought Dark Pony's wheels. Almost done, just need GT500 spoiler, Pro kits and a front lip.

This is with the 305 DR's.

This is with the Bridgestone 285-35 RE070r's. Same as GTR uses. HAd to replace one of the DR's. Dark Pony HAd a flat and the inside of the sidewall was paper thin from rim rubbing it.

Looks good man! Any close up pics of how the 305/35-20s fit? Looking at putting some Nittos on a 10" wheel, trying to decide whether to go 305 or 315 since they run so narrow.

I may have one pic. I have a set of 305's nittos cheap if your interested. One is brand new other 50%. They tuck even with the rear fender. I was worried about it as well.

my95z28 12-21-2013 07:05 PM

Awesome man I apprectiate it. And no I would think about it but I won't be back in the country for another 6 months or so. Needs more low! What lowering kit are you gonna go with?

re-rx7 12-21-2013 11:35 PM

Eiback Pro kits probally. I don't like the slammed look. Plus Im tryna keep a lil ride quality.

Dominic Toretto 12-29-2013 08:54 PM

Nice man. Is your car registered in OK so you avoid the front plate law?

5min to get the old spoiler off the car?

Dominic Toretto 12-30-2013 08:00 PM

Glad to see I am not the only one that went through that task this weekend. Looks good.

Dark Pony 12-30-2013 08:29 PM

The pain is getting the stocker off.

JDMLOL 12-30-2013 08:43 PM

It was a pita for me. Ripped some paint off of my trunk too :/ No spoiler ftw.

re-rx7 12-30-2013 09:53 PM

Tell me about it. Thanks Alex.

Midnight11 12-30-2013 09:56 PM

I just used plenty of Goo Gone.

-Alex

downtime! 12-30-2013 10:41 PM

A little Goo Gone, a little heat gun and a little 50 pound test braided fishing line (with 2 sticks on the ends, used like a saw) and they come off quite easy. Also helps to do it on a hot Texas summer day.

re-rx7 12-31-2013 12:16 AM

I did it in the 29 degree wind blowin out of the north at 30mph weather. Like a boss.

Did you use double-sided tape on the new spoiler?

Yes, 3m. Followed the same outline that it came off with.

Might want to go over it with a hair dryer at some point. I can't be sure but, I was told that the tape needs to be warm to properly adhere. I have not tried to prove this on my car by removing the screws and pulling on it.

I believe pressure is a more important factor then temp. I usually put C clamps on them for an hr so before removing.

I have 315 NT05 on a 20x10 and they fit well. i've had no issues with them.

I like it. I'm torn between it and a boss 302s grille. 300$ is a lot for a grille though.

GTOphil 02-26-2014 06:19 PM

Anybody know if the GT500 spoiler will cover the four forward holes left by the GT/CS?

Right now I have them covered, but I'd like to do it better.

re-rx7 02-26-2014 07:25 PM

It won't.

my95z28 02-26-2014 07:56 PM

Slowstang1_jgw 03-03-2014 07:43 PM
