re-rx7 05-20-2014 05:14 PM

Damn everyone was missing me. Lol been a long week to say the least. I got made a offer I couldn't refuse. I bought the car 1 yr ago for 21500 w/29k. Sold it for 23k with 52k miles a year later.
To top it off I got bit by a cat that had rabies and I had to get shots for that. Fuck.

That's the only way it will run for any length of time.

I expect at least 50-75k out a 400+hp rotary. Stockish on stock turbo especially a T2 120k+ miles. This one is immaculate.

I give credit for those who can endure the maintenance of a rotary. Kudos to those gluttons for punishment.

If this is the snapshot you bring back from Hooters, you've been officially accepted in the car geek club. Congratulations.

Have you been to Hooters recently? Last time I went I didn't see anything there picture worthy.

my95z28 05-21-2014 02:31 PM

Well it's gonna be hard for me to buy those wheels off ya now! Any idea if the new seller wants to get rid of them or if he's on here?

Looks like an old Rx7 on Mustang wheels and really stretched tires.

re-rx7 05-21-2014 05:20 PM

I'm afraid to ask, but why go from a 5.0 to..that? You're suppose to upgrade when you get another car. You went backwards! Slower and more prone to breaking! lol

re-rx7 05-21-2014 05:35 PM

I don't have a really gd answer. It's just a car I've always wanted back. I like them. They are rare, timeless and to me beautiful. Unicorns. I had a mint one and mutilated it. I won't make the same mistake twice. The 5.0 was wonderful. This car will be lucky to break 200whp. It's the connection and of course the 5 foot flames they shoot lol.

They like to break. That's why they are rare. Yet when you see a nice one it gets attention.

Fair enough. Solid answer. Gotta do what moves you. Good luck with it.

Dominic Toretto 05-22-2014 08:55 AM

Very respectful answer. Good luck with it Brandon. What's it selling for?

There is a guy with an older LS-powered RX-7 near my house. I see him a lot of mornings getting gas at around the same time I do. It's a real beater, with a patchwork of body panels and big wheels/tires, but it's a neat car.

No a/c though. Fuck that as a daily driver. :gasp:

red one?

46Tbird 05-22-2014 03:24 PM

Mostly.

Futwa 05-22-2014 04:24 PM

Lol "mostly". There used to be a guy running around with an old 240 and motor swap that was mostly green until I saw him painting his car in a random car wash one night with some spray paint. Then it was mostly red lol.
