4.10 gears.....Yes or No
 

See what you guys think. Its not my daily driver and if and when I do go racing it will mostly be 1/8th mile.

U planning on running drag radials? Spraying nos at the launch? I would think 4.10s would be a little much but that's just my opinion

Yes with DR and no I wouldn't spray until 2nd.

I don't see why not. If you don't like them you can always switch back.

6 speed manual? Go for it.

I have 3.31's now and yes 6spd manual.

highest i would go would be 3.93s. I have 3.73s and they are great for what i used it for.

People have suggest 3.90's.

my bad, i was looking at 3.73 when i wrote that...i meant 3.90s

Why are the motive gears for 3.90's 40 dollars more then frpp 4.10's? I guess they're not as common.

They might work for the 1/8. With 3.55s I cross the line at 7200 in the 1/4 so I'm pretty close to where I want to be.

I think they should work fine for the 1/8th. Do you have a solid drive shaft or the stock one in your car?

Looks like July 5th I'll be getting 4.10's installed.

I liked my 4.10's in my boosted auto 06' GT ;p No complaints....

what nitrous kit are you running & what accessories do you run with it? what size shot and who tuned it?

I haven't installed it yet. But I'll be running a NX wet kit 150 shot and hopefully here soon I will be buying all the accessories from another guy selling his kit. And I will be getting HPP to tuned my car once installed.

Your car should scoot with a 150 shot on it!

I got it for under $400 from American Muscles Ebay seller. It was an open box return, but hadn't been installed and came with all the hardware.

Damn that's a good deal. All the one's I've seen been about 800 bucks.

I was the last bidder too. If I wouldn't have bid, it would have sold for just over $300. Had to have it though.

You can drive mine with 4.10's if I ever make it to one of the meets lol :)

The thing about 4.10's in these cars is you better get really quick with your 1/2/3 shift because any spin in second requires almost an immediate speed-shift into 3rd. Also, in the quarter you will be shifting to 5th which is weird.

This topic has been well debated, but I've seem more people with 3.73's that wished they went with 4.10's than people dropping to 3.73's from 4.10's. Don't fear the gear!
