My 2003 Mach 1 - 5.0 Forged Stroker, etc etc

Weather was nice enough and I found enough time to finally get a photoshoot done. Had some cloud cover but also did some in direct sunlight since DSG really sparkles.

I only did a little touch up - mainly removing blemishes and ugly objects in background. Not really any editing to lighting, etc.

Thanks! I think so too. However, I think I want to get the stock Mach 1/GT bumper on it since it doesn't have a heat exchanger/intercooler behind the GAPING hole. Plus, its more true to the Mach 1 theme. Just gotta find someone with a DSG stock front bumper that wants to trade me!

JDBishopArts 02-23-2013 06:00 PM

I'd go with a 99/01 cobra front bumper. Everything else is hot. Well except the non painted spoiler.

You can always put an intercooler in there. Just make sure it's attached to a turbo. ;)

If 99/01 cobra front bumpers came with a proper chin spoiler, I totally would go that route. But I can't stand the gap when people put the chin spoilers on them.

And yeah, I really dislike the flat black spoiler...just gotta find the cash to get it painted, along with the hood stripe put back on. But first I gotta focus on putting my money towards getting it running flawlessly.....oh yeah and a wedding...

Haha, oh man if only I had the money. From the dyno sheet the previous owner provided me, this car is putting out 411 RWHP on race gas naturally aspirated. I'm not much of a racer, and definitely not a straight line racer (if you can tell by the IRS), so I think I'll be satisfied for now. Going from a 1966 Inline 6 mustang, to a 1999 Inline 6 Grand Cherokee, to a 1999 Stock Mustang GT, to this...its the fasted car I've owned and I think I'll get plenty of joy out of it for at least a while

...but damn would a Kenne Bell look nice sitting underneath that shaker...

Solid point.

Clean car, I like it.

BlueBolt 02-24-2013 05:25 PM

I want it! We were going to buy my wife a azure blue auto before we got the escape. Being responsible and all that bs got in the way though.

Man if I could have found an azure blue I would have been really excited. But with the amount of money the previous owner put into this motor, the amount I paid was worth the drivetrain alone. And DSG is definitely a pretty color when its all cleaned up. But azure blue would have been so sweet.

BlueBolt 02-25-2013 12:07 AM

We looked for a little whole and found a couple of autos but would have had to travel to get them. Decided that something a little bigger was probably a good idea since we have 1 mustang already. Lol

Car looks great, Barton!

If I may, I think the rims you have now, 1" larger in diameter and painted in a light shade of gun metal would look absolutely sick on your car. :D

Thanks! The FR500's are already 18" and they don't make 19". I think when I get around to lowering it a little more in the future, they'll look even better. I could lower the front more already but the previous owner put in a shitty QA1 tubular front end set up and it seems to push the wheels out some. I'm pretty sure if I lowered it more, the wheels would rub. Plus it looks like the 9 quart oil pan and LTs would smash on the massive speed bumps in my apartment complex. Will be a little easier when I move into a house in April:head3:

And unfortunately, I've been obsessed with the silver finish wheels contrasting the car color ever since I had the same wheels on my 99 GT, so the silver must stay!

And I've seen pictures of it and man is it sexy. Unfortunately, with that much sexiness, it'd probably be out of my price range. And oh yeah, the whole marriage thing coming up in April means no spending $$$$$.

Plus, the drivetrain in this Mach is pretty wild!
