Paxton NOVI 2200

1 Attachment(s)
So I started the install of my Paxton today. Maybe a solid 5 hours of work today. Got disassembly completed and majority of the cooling system mods complete. Any tips or recommendations welcome.

How do I upload multiple pics to one thread from an iPad?

Nice blower. I have a novi 2000 on my fox and love it. Post a video once you get that thing running.

Grandpa 04-10-2013 10:28 PM

I will. I have this week to work on it a little bit here and there. Then I'm gone for work for two weeks. It's going to be about a month before its tuned and ready.

I'm going to give the one from Paxton a chance. If it fails, it's minimal effort to get it swapped. I still need to order a catch can and some hoses so I can eliminate hoses going back into my intake.

sweet, looks good.
watch the stock coolant tank like a hawk, they seem to leak for no reason.
the hose on the bottom right that says to turn around...i didnt have to do that on mine and the piping fit fine. i've seen other turn it around, then start hacking on their JLT plastic engine guard because the hose wont let it sit right.
check out the JPC breather kit instead of going the catch can route. i tried to get the passenger side jlt catch can put back on but there was no room.
what injectors and bap are you running?

80lbs ford injectors and kb bap.

Bottom right looking from front, and are you talking about air intake/intercooler ducting?

Ready to start on the last bits of re assembly. Intercooler and ducting complete. Need to trim a few pieces so the front end of the car can go back on and then this thing will be done.

Congrats! I cant wait to get my vortech on in june!!
Whats the actual tech differences (other than max power potential) between the v3 si and paxton anyways? I haven't found a compressor map for the novi so chose the v3 in hopes the smaller unit will spool up faster at lower rpm for DD torque.

Good question. I really don't.

i asked beef and this is all i got back....

"the Paxton is a larger head unit
v3 makes about 700 max hp rw, and the Paxton can get right around 1000"

everything else is the same...i think

Grandpa 05-03-2013 01:11 PM

The Vortech equivilant to the Paxton 2200sl is the Vortech JT trim. The V3 refered to above will not spool quicker because its smaller, just flows less air. The V3 is an entry level blower not meant to make big power of any kind.

Hagen3great 05-15-2013 08:21 PM

So the JT compressor map should be identical to the 2200sl? I don't plan on running anymore than 650rwhp and was hoping for greater efficientcy for my hp range.. hmm Did I just shaft myself?

I found this a while ago. At 1150cfm its pumping out a good chunk but shy of the novi/jt 1450..

http://www.digitalcorvettes.com/foru.../t-117659.html

Beef told me it will spool up faster and I assumed that meant power earlier but I guess if the propeller is that much smaller its a wash?

Yes, the JT is the same as the 2200.

It looks great chilling in my trunk! Lol! I need to install it. I bought a SCT Tuner, just have to put the cai on. I was hoping to buy some more parts and install them all at once but that plan failed so I just need to install the cai and keep my eye out on parts! Should install it this week though, I bought the plug for the firewall as well.
