Where is everyone?

:biggun:

Grandpa 08-16-2012 12:15 PM

Just got home from the gym. The stairmaster machines are inventions from hell.

DirtyD 08-16-2012 12:48 PM

I don't workout right now, so I can say that sucks. LOL

Grandpa 08-16-2012 12:51 PM

You know what's even worse, those gawd damn women who go to the gym in the mornings to pedal their fat asses on the stationary bikes on level 1 for half an hour only to sit next to eachother to talk the whole fucking time about stupid shit. I really need to get an IPOD so I don't have the listen to their crap. I really like going to the gym without music to enjoy the peace and quiet. But listening to those old hens clucking just makes me wanna choke someone out. lol.

Phuck Phace 08-16-2012 12:59 PM

At work about to order more car parts.

Grandpa 08-16-2012 01:06 PM

I don't want to spend that much, going with some new 4 Piston Stoptechs and some Stainless Works LTs.

Nice. I'm pretty sure I've decided on the VMP TVS for my car. Exhaust soon then blower.

Midnight11 08-16-2012 01:42 PM

Wahh I just want a car again

You want my mid pipe soon?

I may sound crazy for saying this but I really have no desire to make any changes to my Mustang. It is the first car I have ever ordered from the factory and while waiting for Ford to build it, I realized this isn't just any car - this is my car built just for me. Perhaps I am getting older and am losing the boy racer mentality? I don't know what it is but either way I love my Mustang. It is without a doubt the funnest car I have ever owned, even in its stock form.

I kind of know what you mean, but I want to try and distinguish my car from others by making it look how I want. Since the performance mods are pretty much common with everyone, looks are the difference maker. I just don't feel like painting stuff. Haha

I feel the same way... now that I've lowered it and put some decent wheels on it. :chewie:

Id have to look but i think i gave right at $1400 shipped for em with cats, without cats about $100 less.

Phuck Phace 08-16-2012 03:00 PM

I have an O/R H now, getting the LTs w/catless x for 1251 shipped.

DirtyD 08-16-2012 03:19 PM

I kind of want an ORH just to hear what it sounds like with the car...but I'm not tune....yet.

Midnight11 08-16-2012 03:31 PM

The h is mine :)

DirtyD 08-16-2012 03:35 PM

Bastard.

You don't have a car...

let me try it out, and if I dont like it, I'll let you have it. Or just let me try the sound until you get your car. And I will just buy one myself.

Grandpa 08-16-2012 03:45 PM

1250 bucks for longtubes, craziness.

F/I setups benefit even more from headers. The sound is well worth the money IMO.

Same could be said for TF wheels, Beautiful... but pricey commodity.

It's a non-enhanced version dude. Obviously if it worked on these cars I would be keeping it. Derp.

Having owned several boosted cars with longtubes in the past, I can tell you from experience that for a street car, they are not worth the expense. Minimal gains power wise (thought they sound great) but then you begin to have issues with tunes, 02 sensors and emissions issues. Yes, you can have a "hook up" not to deal with that, but having to go through the hassle every year is a pain in the ass. Plus, these new cars will need "not ready" codes regardless.

PLASMAN 08-16-2012 05:52 PM

Justin is in the process of putting together his VMP version of the TVS better than the roush model

Why even do any performance modifications then, if experience tells you its hassle and not worth expense?

I fully disagree with headers adding minimal gains to f/i setups.

These new cars are ridiculously easy to make power with as it is, so why do modifications that aren't really needed that would just make the car difficult to be inspected? Exhaust and blower on these cars will make 600-700rw depending on boost and supporting mods.

Installing longtubes on these cars are a complete pain in the ass. If you have a shop do it 1) it's going to be expensive as hell 2) you're taking a huge chance with the Mustang shops in the DFW area because most of them suck ass. Dave's car is also slammed which is going to make it difficult driving daily with speed bumps and driveways scraping everything and possibly busting collectors.

Unless you are building an all out race car trying to squeeze out every last bit of horsepower, spending $1250 on parts, plus $85 hour labor hours on install is not worth the 15-20rwhp that you will gain from it.

But that's just my opinion.

virtu 08-16-2012 07:00 PM

For the guys running around with open exhaust, do you ever get hassled by the popo? I've heard what these cars sound like and I can't even imagine driving around the city making all that noise. I'm not knocking it, I think it sounds badass and I would totally do it but it just screams "look at me look at me." I think I've got enough of that going on with the green paint.

I was having issues with the site earlier at work and accidentally deleted my post. Figured I'd repost when I got home.

This thing makes plenty of noise but it's not my daily driver so I can tolerate it.
