Jeff, how'd the car do?

How close was I? Posted this on 7/11 in the "lol" thread...

"Pwr on spray? I'm going to guess REAL close to 760 sae, give or take 10"

I think I heard what you made, math suggests I was REAL close... Did you get it done finally?

Congrats to everyone at True Street as well, Im sure you are all glad the car is finally finished and turned out as planned.

BLK2012GT 07-24-2013 09:39 PM

It made 791 rwhp. And they might not be done with it yet.

791 std right? What's the SAE # just for reference? Should be in the 77X range if my math is right...

it will probably make a little more in the morning cooled down, they doing anything else to the tune up, or does it look pretty solid?

Yea you've got 200 rw on me, don't think it's gonna be worth your gas.:winner_second_h4h:

JDMLOL 07-24-2013 10:11 PM

Awesome.

Been a long road with a lot of trial and upgrades, but in the end it was worth it! Car is a monster, and should move out hard from a low roll!! I am wanting to say it is the most powerful coyote on nitrous? I have not looked very hard on that but a quick search did not turn up much.

downtime! 07-24-2013 10:51 PM

Best I can remember was Strictly Performances car (2011 GT). IIRC, it made 670 with a 250 shot (NOS direct port setup). The car went high 9's I believe.

Very nice job ya'll!

GunsUp 07-25-2013 04:52 AM

Ryan I'm jealous you got to see it spray on the dyno. Then again I like my hearing

03MachMe 07-25-2013 04:54 AM

Yea my ears are still ringing

Congrats Jeff, when you taking it to the track?

musclestang89 07-25-2013 06:52 PM

very nice

Luke 07-25-2013 07:06 PM

Sub'd for track times!

BLK2012GT 07-25-2013 07:23 PM

I'll be taking it to the track when the tracks prep their tracks better. So far havent heard of a track with great traction this summer.

White_lightning 07-25-2013 07:38 PM

i lol when shops inflate numbers for cars other than turbo cars with std:) seems turbos are the only ones its valid for. na/sc/n2o its just an ego booster..just use sae like everyone else.. anyway grats on the numbers..

Denton is great on event nights and rentals.

Am I the only one that has never researched or cared what the difference in STD/SAE/etc... was?

800hp nitrous car should be FAST imo! What tire?

Congrats

Either you're not going on the right nights or you need to do more suspension work.

You go on a normal tnt or ricer night, you're going to have some problems.

When you make 1400 rwhp does it matter?:)

Dan12GT 07-25-2013 10:20 PM

Sounds mean AF!

I agree, a dyno number is nothing but a calculation that is never accurate as to what the engine makes. Every thing can effect the dyno number, trans, rearend, wheels, etc. too many variables.

Oh and he is on nitto nt-05r radials. My understanding is with 35 lbs of air it dead hooks around 30 mph on motor.

This past weekend at Ennis the track was terrible. Couple drivers said they will not return to Ennis for another race... Everyone I spoke with said they would have gotten just as much traction on a raw street surface..

Junkie 07-26-2013 12:45 AM

Ennis sucks, its sucked for 10 years. Denton FTMFW

03MachMe 07-26-2013 02:10 AM

1/4 > 1/8

Rebelracer568 07-26-2013 07:44 AM

Denton use to be good no matter what day you went. But since new owner fired larry and nick its gone to junk.

I think those guys came to thunder valley in noble. Tracks been epic ever since.

Rebelracer568 07-26-2013 09:44 AM

Yea there in thunder valley. Track has been through a massive change over. How about dfw5.0 cruise to thunder valley

BLK2012GT 07-26-2013 09:44 AM

Where is thunder valley?

re-rx7 07-26-2013 10:02 AM

Little south of Norman/noble, Ok.

http://www.okthunder.com/contact.html

rriddle3 07-26-2013 10:10 AM

Yeah, about 10 miles south of Norman between I35 and Hwy 77. Way too far for me to go just to get to a drag strip. :jawdrop:

Rebelracer568 07-26-2013 10:25 AM

Yea little far. But I like running at different tracks. I mean I thought texas had some of baddest street cars :)

The fast stuff up there is usually on the street.

Rebelracer568 07-26-2013 10:42 AM

Yea I seen all those guys at denton. I know texas cars are faster than the street outlaws guys on track. But never seen any run on street

Dead hooking on the street and on the track are two different things. Nobody really knows what those cars run at the track. Junkie may.

Doug1227 07-26-2013 10:53 AM

I was supposed to go to Denton tonight, but not looking good.

TrueStreetMotorSports.com 07-26-2013 10:58 AM

the top three on the street outlaw list are pretty fast.

The Sonoma truck is a 4.70@160mph
the black nova runs 4.90ish
and the blue car of docs runs high 4.70's to low 4.80's

Those cars are very fast and in my opinion very dangerous for the no prep racing they are doing. Still fun to watch
