Very nice!

Junkie 09-26-2013 01:32 PM

Solid numbers!

TrueStreetTim 09-26-2013 02:54 PM

I'll post your vid soon. :waytogo:

Phuck Phace 09-26-2013 02:58 PM

Stout, may need a fuel system soon.

Kaane 09-26-2013 05:12 PM

Built motor + fuel system are next :)

How does it feel on the street?

Kaane 09-26-2013 05:26 PM

Surprisingly still very driveable. 1st and 2nd are a lost cause, but it always has been like that. 3rd it hooks hard and pulls like a raped ape. I like the extra torque I picked up everywhere, makes it more enjoyable at lower revs. Feels a bit smoother on E85.

Need more tire, 285's even R compound are not up to the task.

Damn nice numbers, especially that torque! And people doubt me when I tell them how efficient the stock headers and cats are. I'd still be running them too, if GH hadn't made me a smokin' deal on the LT's.

Slow Five-O 09-26-2013 07:29 PM

That is crazy awesome. What are stock internals good for on these motors?

Depending on who you ask 600-650whp, but most will agree the tune is what is most important for longevity.

I know more than few cars running on stock internals making considerably more than my car. It is all in the tune, and how you drive the car.

Doug1227 09-26-2013 09:15 PM

I'M about to find out! :)

Kaane 09-26-2013 09:17 PM

This power level is not safe long term. I will be buying a forged motor for Christmas, so it just needs to last a few months. I don't really flog it hard anyway, so it should be ok.

G-Mann 09-26-2013 10:15 PM

Damn Nice!!!

Dan12GT 09-27-2013 01:19 PM

Wow! Big number increases with the e85 tune. Those numbers are definitely floating on the edge of disaster with stock internals. Very impressive though!

Kaane 09-27-2013 01:55 PM

On the Edge? WAY Past it! but soo much fun.

Congrats on all that power. Sounds like fun. A Coyote and a blower are so much fun.

brembo12 10-02-2013 12:08 AM

Grea! numbers! Always liked the Paxton... :) Heading to True Street soon for a tune.....

I've seen advertisements for Boss internals for pretty cheap. Check this out. A forged OEM crank for just $350.00. Very cheap insurance.

What do you plan to do about the transmission and so forth?

Tremec Magnum when it blows.

Aluminator with my year end bonus.

Boss crank and coyote crank = the same. Just different balance weights for the different rods and pistons.

That's good to know.

Curious since you plan on doing an aluminator why throw so much power at it right now? You could sell your stock motor for a good chunk of change to further finance the new motor / tranny.

The dyno was just for fun. I rarely spin the motor to more then 6500-6800 on the street. Where it makes 620-650whp, which should last a few months. I don't drag race really and don't launch it. With zero detonation from E85 I think it will be ok for a few months.

Darkhelmet22 10-02-2013 10:33 PM

Does the stock diff hold that much power? Didn't know how much abuse the stock diff will handle.

Kaane 10-02-2013 11:12 PM

Diff is fine as long as you don't launch it crazy.
