Yes, I've been meaning to post this up for the club. Surround Sound in Richardson gives DFW50's a 15% discount on everything for members only on everything - tint, audio, tires/wheels etc. They recently re-tinted my wife's Mach stripping the old tint off including the back window with the defroster and it's perfect! Give them a try and be sure to mention you are a member here for your discount!

McNastyGT 10-05-2013 11:34 PM

Nice ill give them a call

Dan12GT 10-06-2013 06:48 PM

One of my buddies runs his own mobile tinting company too. Best in the business and will do anything you wish to have done. PM me if you need his info.

bird_dog0347 11-08-2013 03:15 PM

I called surround sound and have an appointment for next Wednesday morning, I'll report back with the results.

BERT 11-08-2013 03:25 PM

I got a badass hookup but you'll have to drive to east texas for it

Dan12GT 11-08-2013 03:40 PM

Curious what did they quote you at?

When I called he said the price for the mustang is normally $150 with a lifetime guarantee. He said it's 15% off that (so like $126) but since the mustang is so easy to do (his words, his offer) he'd do it for $100 plus tax.

I've always gone to Pro Tint in Plano. Like for 10 years. Always do a good job, not too pricey.

How much did this run you if you don't mind me asking? Previous owner on my car double tinted and its really too dark for me. Especially at night. Anyway I wanted to do the same thing and get the old stripped off and new put on.

I used to work in the window tinting industry and I can tell ya first hand removal can be a pain and defiantly the most complicated part of window tinting. Most places will charge extra for sure.

Yes it is a pita. I've done it a couple of times. I think I'd rather pay to have it done if its not too $$$.

Wow! Not bad at all.

03cobrarocks 11-13-2013 02:27 PM

What percentage most of you guys getting? I had tritek do my truck, while the quality of the tint wasn't the greatest but they did whatever percentage I wanted without any hassle :) and it wasn't too pricey from what I remember.

I had sunray customs in keller do my g8 was nice because they would do however dark I wanted I just had to sign a waiver. However I would never go back to them....

bird_dog0347 11-13-2013 02:32 PM

Well I just got back from Surround Sound after getting my windows tinted. Cost me $100+tax and took less than 30 minutes for them to do it. I got 25% on the doors, and 20% on the 3 back windows. I'll get a pic up this afternoon, but I'm very happy with it so far, just need to make sure it cures correctly but I'm sure it will.

Still not a bad price but most places charge extra for limo. Mine is darkest legal up front and 5% on the back quarter windows and windshield.

He said I can have whatever I wanted on the back, even Limo... same price.

Dan12GT 11-13-2013 03:49 PM

Man y'all have some cheap tint up there

I paid like $120 on the stang with dealer discount for llumar ceramic 30% on the doors and 5% on back window. Then like $350 from sunray customs on my last truck for llumar ceramic 30% on the front doors, 15% on everything behind that, and 5% windshield strip which didn't even go down to the as1 line

I spent quite awhile up there talking to Surround Sound about giving the club members a discount. But the owner is really cool and they do great work. Keep in mind, the discount isn't just on tint, but EVERYTHING they do there including wheels, tires and audio stuff too!

I talked to them the other day about tint and some radio work. I have to fix some weather stripping and a window motor before doing anything though, damn old cars.

Dan12GT 11-15-2013 10:07 AM

Looks great man! Curious does the tint come with a lifetime warranty?

Yes. I'm telling you guys, this guy hooked us up! Go give him your business!

BERT 11-15-2013 12:21 PM

5% all around. Don't like people seeing in my car. In the 10 years or so that I've been putting limo all around, I've only been pulled over once for tint (knock on wood). And I think what got me caught was my windshield piece being too low. Didn't go as low on the mustang this time.

Dan12GT 11-15-2013 03:22 PM

Nice!
