Whats up guys? I know im not a Stang but my boy Midnight11 told me to get on. To introduce myself i am picking up my 1999 Trans am Ram air tomorrow. It has Kooks Stainless steel LTs, catless, ORY pipe, no muffler, 3.73 gears, dyno tune pushing 403hp and 391tq to wheels plus around 2k in the stereo. My pic is in my sig.

I do actually. One of my dream cars is a 1977 Gold Edition Trans Am. First movie I ever went and saw - Smokey and The Bandit. :D

Pewter Lurch 10-03-2012 07:48 PM

almost named the car bandit but thought lurch would be better lol

grabberblue50 10-05-2012 10:37 AM

403 hp to the wheels with no engine mods doubtful car came stock with 305 flywheel hp

Pewter Lurch 10-05-2012 07:21 PM

Thats what i was told. Pro 1 autosports did all the work on the car including the dyno tune and thats even what they told me

89gt-stanger 10-06-2012 09:14 AM

Grabberblue-- the 305 was underrated on these cars, pretty well. In a race with stock mach 1's and equally good drivers, it seems these cars pull a bit on the machs. He probably has the "free" mods done as well. Although I don't believe 403, it's probably putting down around 350 to the pavement. Needs to go on TS's dyno.

I did put 325hp 352tq. guess previous owner either was blowing smoke...or was on a mustang dyno. Already ordered up an LS6 manifold and new TB. Then will be getting a custom ground cam. and bigger stall

OG Fox 10-09-2012 12:51 AM

nice meeting you at the dyno day....maybe you should change the name of the site to "DFW50s and friends"

11bangbang 10-09-2012 02:16 PM

Nice car we need an LS1 to punk on anyways. J/K LOL...Welcome man.

Sorry to hear you got a raw deal. :(

I'd suggest selling that Fbody and getting a 5.0 that makes 400rw with just lil bolt ons. :D

jarheadtex 10-09-2012 11:41 PM

Welcome!!! I have had a few Trans Ams over the years.
