Power looks to be the same.

blownaltered 05-20-2014 10:48 PM

Car is lighter so it will be faster.

garner 05-20-2014 11:30 PM

Road and track has a pricing guide up, http://www.roadandtrack.com/go/news/...al-order-guide

Ecoboost equipped the way I would want looks to be about $36k, screw that

If the power is the same, why was every ford engineer saying that they applied what learned from boss 302 to this engine.

The engine uses boss pieces. I fully expect for Ford to pull the same stunt they did in 2010. New styling old engine. A year later out came the 5.0. I wouldn't be surprised to see the 2016 making 450-470

mtaylor7210 05-21-2014 01:14 PM

I would of been super pissed if I bought a 2010, even though I know there was rumors about the 5.0 when the 2010 came out.

Agreed. I saw one the other day with a license plate "2010 GT." I was thinking "you're proud of that?"

He's telling everyone ahead of time he isn't a 5.0 and not to waste their gas. lol

Didn't you run 13's? I would think a modded 10 would give YOU a run for your money. lol

With no track experience, I sure did. Give me more seat time and learning how to launch on street tires and that will change.

Isn't it dinner time for you? Bed time is only a couple hours away.

Ohhh, you can say no experience, but it's okay. I say it and you get your panties in a bunch. Hilarious.

And no kiddo. It's only 2pm, which is clearly past your nap time seeing how sensitive and cranky you are...as usual.

You can say it when it's relevant. But just saying it to say it I will ask why it needed to be said. Instead of having discussions, you just start poking at people. At least be a contributing member of the discussion.

Not cranky either. It's after lunch and I'm on the shitter...got some down time to kill.

Considering how full of shit you are, I'd say so. :Big Laugh:

I bet the 2016 will be more powerful and have interesting additions.

I agree. They've hinted that the new 5.0 will get a significant increase. I'm really interested to see how this new IRS holds up and if there is going to be bad wheel hop or not.

re-rx7 05-21-2014 05:36 PM

I'm interested to see the reliability of said rear setup. As most mustang owners drag race. M3's don't like it to much.

Soulowd 05-21-2014 06:14 PM

man im glad I bought a 2014 now that I know this about the 15's. cause you know for the first 6-8 months they will be charging full sticker on a 2015 just because of the body change.

I think if one were to put some whiskers on it the car would look like a damn catfish on wheels.

The back looks like an afterthought.

Grandpa 05-21-2014 07:39 PM

Hopefully we see one soon slammed with a decent set of wheels to get to see how it will look for real.

Soulowd 05-21-2014 10:39 PM

Yeah it's def giving me a softy. The 2014's still give me a full on chub

re-rx7 05-21-2014 11:35 PM

Every model change people said the same things. Lol

No this is what a catfish on wheels looks like.

http://oi41.tinypic.com/21aixso.jpg

Imo the car has grown on me, I like it; especially in silver.

Hahahah I can see what you're talking about

GunsUp 06-04-2014 10:13 AM

After seeing what Don has done to his Ecoboost I'm eager to see what the Mustang will do. Gonna shock alot of people with GT's i'm sure

Crimson600+HP 06-04-2014 08:43 PM

Seen one in person, much better looking car than ya think. It will grow on us, but isn't what I'm used to. Wonder if there will be a power numb in 2016 too lol.

Shaggy 06-06-2014 03:08 AM

Cool. Look forward on seeing this on the street!

garner 06-13-2014 03:24 PM

Friend just said that her dad's is on it's way to Texas. Should look good next to their 5 other stangs lol

DirtyD 06-13-2014 03:42 PM

He must have got a 50th anniversary edition. pretty penny for those, with set options I believe.

The digital builder is up and running on Ford's website. I built the "exact" car I have now, and it came out to be $2k more than mine...plus it weighs 3700# now compared to my 3600#

garner 06-13-2014 04:06 PM

Yeah I'm sure he did. He always goes for the top dollar ones

I built an ecoboost the way I would want and it came out to $40k for the coupe, and $44k for the vert

F that

Grandpa 06-13-2014 06:05 PM

Ford needs to get their shit together if they want the Mustang to compete globally. If they are going to add weight, they need to start adding some serious HP. As they sit now, a lil over 400hp and 3600-3700lbs makes for a slow turd.

03MachMe 06-13-2014 06:38 PM

Compared to what? It's not supposed to compete with the vette or other two seat purpose built sports cars. It's as fast or faster than the m3 for A LOT less. Those are the kind of cars it will compete with globally not Porsche or cars like that.

I want to see a comparison between the new 425 HP M4 coupe and the 2015 Mustang.

Stangmaster281 06-13-2014 07:54 PM

I thought the 2015 was supposed to be both a bit smaller and lighter.
