Congrats Doug! That thing will be a blast to drive. I'd love to check it out when you get it done.

Nice, you installing it yourself?

Doug1227 04-01-2013 01:33 PM

Yeah, I'll install it myself, then have it tuned locally.

blownaltered 04-01-2013 03:39 PM

You got a built motor in that thing yet?

Doug1227 04-01-2013 03:46 PM

No..... should I?

03MachMe 04-01-2013 03:51 PM

as long as you keep it on fairly low boost, around 600rwhp you should be ok

x2

I've seen more than one guy blow the motor around 700. The rods are weak in those motors.

Doug1227 04-01-2013 04:34 PM

I'm not looking for any more than 650/550. LOL @ those weak rods ONLY handling 700 @ the wheels! Man we're spoiled..... BTW, it's got the stock 4-1/8" pulley and a Mammoth TB! LOL!

No they aren't. Quit reading that bullshit on SVTP with all those Terminator crybabies. You're drinking too much Kool-aid.

Oh here we go again. I forgot the coyote motor is the ls1 of ford. Did god touch this one as well. There are more than one coyote on this board alone that has blown up or bent a rod. The rods are weak and you have crap pistons, the blocks are strong but that's it. It's not a built motor so lets stop acting like they are.
