Seriously?
 

Check this out. The alignment shop pointed out to me that my rubber steering rack bushings were going out. Well, luckily I had ordered some polyurethane bushings for it a few months ago that I was going to put on just whenever was convenient.

Anyway, I go ahead and pull out the old bushings. One of them came out much easier than the others. When I put them all next to each other I noticed something was different about one of them:

The previous owner used a fucking floor pan drain plug in place of one of the steering rack bushings! Everything in this car I've come across has shown that the previous owner did everything so half-assed. Luckily this is one of the last places on the car I haven't gone over with a fine toothed comb and I've fixed pretty much all of his shoddy work. And luckily the engine was built by HPP because if he had any hand in it I would be constantly paranoid. Anyway, I doubt I'm the only person that finds this to be absolutely ridiculous. Good thing I haven't pushed the car to the limits yet.
