I dont know much about intakes but would the metal intake not get hot after the car has been running for a while making for increased IAT?

Increased airflow into the TB. Car now has a 4" to 4".

Argumentative but technically, yes. Enough to worry about? No. K&N, and many other companies, offer an aluminum version for appearance reason. In fact; the Steeda kit that was on the car was 40% aluminum to begin with.

So that cai will prob be most beneficial with an aftermarket tb

Selcouth 07-03-2013 07:23 PM

At least the car has some kind of airflow through the engine. The GTO's have none and are well sealed with the hood down making most aftermarket intakes useless. Pretty much the only one worth a damn is a Svede which is an over the radiator intake, takes 4+ months to get, and requires hacking shit up.

You got it. We're also testing the FRPP TB with good results. We see a good power package with this in the future.

Correct. But Jeff has the 85mm though both would see a 4" kit. Also the custom port on the BOSS intake is where it's at. The CAI was a compliment. I'll look to post the graphs tomorrow.
