Tire/wheel question

I have talked to a few guys about tires and wheels. But tried searching to find out the largest/most preferred sizes of tires/wheels/ offsets to STILL be able to rotate the tires.

I want 20" wheels like PhuckPhace's ride.

So do i get 20x9 or 20x10's all around? also what offset will make them look nice like the offset on Phuckphace's car? I use his as a reference because its perfect stance and offset lol

My car will be white. Im thinking of some dark grey or matte black wheels. ideas?

thanks for info and help guys. im a NOOB to the s197's lol

If you want your car to look like Dave's car you will have to go with a staggered set up. A square set up wont look the same. Besides, its doubtful the rear tires will last as long as the fronts will cuz of all the fun you will have in your car, unless you drive like an old man like me. Haha.

I gotcha. but i wonder what offset would be close? because i may have to have them a little bit in so for when i get bags anyway right? maybe the airlift guys can chime in on this. They may know sizes to get for all of their customers with bags..? possibly anyway.

I am pretty easy on my cars. I take off and go fast. but i never do actual burnouts or anything. so my tires last a good long while. I had 18x9 and 18x10's on my last car and they lasted a long time. BUT i couldnt rotate so they didnt last AS long as they should lol. So i will get more time out of it if i can do like a 20.9-9.5-10" on so i can rotate.

There is a couple of guys on bags over on SVTP that could answer that question for ya. I don't think anyone here is on bags, at least none of the regulars.

Bag a new GT? Seems pointless. Get a 3.7. Why ruin a good handling car?

It's actually good stuff. There are some on a 800hp cobra. A couple different nice s197 Shelby's with them. They track their cars too!

I was looking at your wheels at the dyno day, I kinda dig'em. The pics dont' show the machined part of the wheel very well, but they look good in person. :)

someone told me that 20x9.5 will rotate with 275's. can anyone verify this or maybe that i can fit a bigger width wheel and tire?

03MachMe 10-12-2012 04:49 PM
