Microfiber Rags

Is there some special way to clean these? Seems like anytime I wash them, they are still stained and have oily residue on them. Most noticable on the glass. I can't even wipe the windshield without having smears.

You can wash them in the washer machine with the same soap you use for your clothes, I add a little Simple Green as well. I also wash them by themselves. Then you can dry on a rack or a light dry cycle in your dryer just make sure that you do not use fabric softener at all. That's what I do and it works well for me.

Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a shot this weekend.

I wash mine by themselves, then I dry them in my dryer on low heat to keep the fluff. Also, DO NOT add dryer sheets in there with them. The static created by the sheets end up making any lint that comes off continually stick to the cloth.

I use woolite for mine, mostly because its a gentle cleaner, no fabric softener of course

I hand clean them after washing the car in the sink with some dish soap to remove the tough grime, rinse them clean of the dish soap and wash them by themselves in the washer with normal laundry detergent. I also add some fabric softener to keep them soft. I dry them without a sheet as well.
