Pump Gas In Oklahoma

Moving to OK in less than two months for career progression.

So I have had this discussion with BV600 in person, but we've heard differing theory's from some credible tuners that the 91 Octane gas in OK isn't the greatest. I am completely fine with running a 91 tune and getting less power, not a big deal to me. However, I don't want to run poor quality gas.

So the dilemna that we are faced with is this. Should we just get a 91 tune and what we are hearing isn't true? Or should we just keep our 93 tunes and start buying gallons of Torco to supplement the fuel that we would get in OK. Ran the numbers and it should take a 32 ounces to bump a full tank up to 94 (raising the price of each fill up $15).

I am leaning towards the Torco as I barely use my car for daily purposes (maybe once a week) and I trailer it to all my track events (where they have plenty of fuel options). I know my situation maybe different than people who DD their Mustangs, but fuel quality is important, especially to the forced induction people. Interested in what people have to say that live in OK or closer to the OK border than us CENTEX guys.

I would think since the car won't be seeing fillups and a lot of driving, I would do the Torco option. You can always fill up some gas cans or get a small fuel tank for some 93

When I thought I got bad fuel thenother day I did some research on the lucas stuff and it raises 93 to 96-97 so it would help out the 91. Its not like torco as far as adding more gets you better octane.

Torco is effective but it can be hard on plugs and O2 sensors. Just FYI.

Where in ok are you moving?

Fort Sill...Lawton....Dumpster, Trash Can, there is probablly a bunch of other terms for it.

When I go there in Sept-Oct im using Torco and maybe getting lund to play with the tune a little.

Yea the 91 is iffy up in ok. Summer blend is decent. We have a pretty awesome gas station in okc that sells 93 and straight E85 all year which is nice. But I think it's still 10 miles from my new house.

YEa in OKC there are a few stations with 93. However, some places carry pure 91 octane which awesome.

I'd imagine. Don't know exactly what I am going to do. I have actually been reading more into it. Seeing the difference between Klotz and Torco. Guess it is just more research to figure which would be the better option.

Don't know whats in the area around Lawton, but I am unsure which option I will go with (91 Tune vs. Torco/Klotz)

Damn...wish I didn't get spoiled here in TX with 93 being everywhere. I plan on going to CO next after OK so the 91 Tune option is what I am leaning towards.

Im actually from OK. LOL

This is a bit far of a location for you but theres a 7elleven in OKC on the corner of hefner and may. I believe they sell 93 with none of the 10% garbage involved. Il check since im in the area for a few days.

I gained timing on 10% E. Shown in the logs. So I don't seek out the 100% gas stations. Too much of a pain and no reason to.

yes my car picked up 2* consistently on E10 over 100% gas.

Just add meth. Problem solved and you'll make more power.
