Finally got a call back from Ford...

Most of yal know about the misfire issue I have been having with my '11 5.0, took it into ford to get a few things fixed that they promised me and to look as the TSB on my cyl 4, cyl 7 and multiple misfire codes. Got the call today from the service manager. They are saying they already did the TSB before I bought the car. I had them replace the coil, plug and pigtail about a month ago to see if it fixed it. It Didn't. Onto what I was told today, he told me my compression on cyls 4 and 7 are well below specs. At this moment they are calling it a motor. I bought the vehicle CPOV and have a year bumper to bumper and 7yr/100k mile powertrain warrenty so I wont have to pay out of pocket for anything...this fucking sucks though...not honestly sure how I feel about this:025:

They'll probably do a short block, or head work, maybe even ring it. But I doubt they put a long block in it. Gotta love warranty!

Already told me it will be a long block. I love warranty work also since I don't have to pay anything. Just want my car back.

That's awesome news. Glad it was fixed under warranty...much better than paying the work yourself lol.

Yes on a positive side I am very glad I don't have to pay for it but damn! I have had the car for just over a month...I am just waiting on a call tomorrow for approval from ford. Didnt know that these PCM have a setting to tell everytime the key is turned after everytime the PCM is messed with(ex- tuning, going to stock tune before going to dealer. It will show how many times the key was turned. Luckily I work at an automotive shop so I have tools the go into the PCM so they cant blame it on the tuner. :troll3:

That is something us broke ass bitches have because we can't afford to buy the fun stuff for our cars.. For me anyway.

That sucks but at the same time is awesome man. Fresh 13/14 motor for your mods to work on/with.

Bacadiesel 04-02-2014 08:42 PM

Damn they are prob going to have the car for like 2-3 months

Pewter Lurch 04-02-2014 10:25 PM

Was told it will take a day to get a 5.0 long block and a day to install then a day to run test. I will know tomorrow what is going on and how long it will be

donutninja 04-02-2014 10:45 PM

3 days? that would be awesome! My car was in the shop for 2 days for a damn LCA...

though, if it's the whole motor is should be relatively straight forward. best of luck!

I need a factory air box. Getting rid of the Steeda. Not going to chance the new motor with running the Steeda all the way home until I can put my tune back on.

You're already driving the fun stuff, Wayne. :worthy: That's why you're broke!

Not sure if the 1 is the same as the 14, but if it is, http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/pts/4399440566.html
