BV600s Auto 2014

Figured I'd start a build progress thread since I have a nice pile of parts ready to go on. To start I had a 2012 GT M6 with a procharger D1SC and a bunch of other stuff that probably made in the 650whp range. I sold it leaving Germany and ordered a auto 13, once here ford told me it would be 5 months until delivery so I canceled and got a 13k mile 03 Z06. I loved the Z06 but crawling in and out of that thing got old quick and I wanted something bigger.

So I ended up trading in the Z06 for a 2014 Oxford White 301a A6. I started out with some GT500 Axle backs that I got for free and cleaned them up really nice. Also got some pretty good deals on H&R Race Springs, Koni STR.T and BMR Panhard.

I realized the suspension would not work for my intended street and strip use so I switched it up to BMR Springs, LCA, relocation brackets, and Strange shocks and struts. I also had a UCA bracket but AM sent me the wrong year so that was returned.

Here are some pics I have with the old suspension setup

Yes really really deep tone, I cant wait to hear them with the X pipe installed.
GT500s used to be my favorite, had them on my 2012 also.
The only other exhaust ive had was the magnaflow competition catback and that was too much.

StormTrooper 12-01-2013 08:03 PM

Nice car and color choice. I have the kooks as well and was debating on h or x but hearing them with an h pipe on my buddies car I think I will go X as well. Can you post a video of it once you end up installing the x. Thanks

BV600 12-01-2013 08:15 PM

Yep I should have them on with in the next week or two.

Oh and heres the hood vents

Nitrous is here and will have a nice write up soon here is the diagram. Also have the converter but not sure if I want to attempt that on jackstands.
I might have to loosen my lca relocation brackets and use a bfh. The wheels sit straight in the wells on both sides but the steering wheel is crooked a tad. Could just be I need an alignment?

Put the Darkstars on today couldn't get the Panhard bar jam nuts loose so they stick out further on the driver side at the moment. A little disappointed with the 295s I should have went with 275s, they stick out a little to far for my likings. Ill go with 275s when I change tires again. They look awesome in the sun! Also started messing with the nitrous. Decided I want to add a fuse block to the kit. This isn't permanent im just messing around with ideas, thinking about putting in glove box.

Looks great! Update us whenever you hit the track.

Also, did you use any Locktite or any other product to keep the lock nut in place on the panhard bar? I find it strange that it won't loosen, especially since it hasn't been on there too long.

BV600 12-19-2013 08:19 PM

Thanks I got some abs plastic sheets to redo the fuse block area and a different type of fuse box itself. Also started making some pigtails to plug everything up wanted to make it as plug and play as possible.

I actually bought the panhard used which I'm sering is a mistake I'm going to go back at it in a couple days.

JDMLOL 12-19-2013 08:26 PM

Looking good. Curious to see the nitrous write up when it's done.

BV600 12-20-2013 02:31 PM

Thanks have some stuff on the way in the mail then I will finish everything as well as trying to figure out a good way to mount in the glove compartment.

BV600 01-10-2014 04:12 PM

Well I did a big change of direction thinking the Nitrous would only give me my fix for a short time. So Ive got a D1SC Procharger the intercooler and all the piping. I will be pieceing together a kit.

Im thinking
JPCs Paxton Coolant tank
Custom Piping from intercooler to TB so I keep stock Fan
Procharger Big Red Bypass Valve

Some other little odds and ends ill post up as it arrives

garner 01-13-2014 10:30 PM

Think I may have passed you on 190 by trimmier earlier today

BV600 01-13-2014 11:20 PM

Nope, I haven't driven my car in two weeks! Wont be driven that much for the next 3 months or so. You can tell me by the Racestars I dd them.

Slow Five-O 01-13-2014 11:29 PM

Awesome looking car. Keep us updated with the D1. That's the path i want to go.

BV600 01-13-2014 11:46 PM

Damn that's cheap!

Crimson600+HP 01-19-2014 12:16 AM

Cool deal indeed. You just need to make up your mind already! Hopefully you stick with this route.

BV600 01-19-2014 12:23 AM

Definitely will stay with a blower, easy POWA!

Finally broke my Panhard bolts broke loose the guy I got it from must have pour lock tite on it. Put the ORX in and loaded a BBR tune for it. Ordered the JPC Coolant Tank just need to figure out the right fittings to extend the lines.

Track tomorrow to see what it runs as of now

Those BR valves are ridiculously loud. They are fun to play with for a couple of days and they it gets very old after that.

Yeah I thought about doing a wastegate setup, then just a smaller BOV. I seen this and couldnt resist on the price they go on ebay for $100 more plus the piping is already welded for it.

BV600 02-01-2014 07:06 PM

Finally got 15x10s on there with the 295s and I love it, wayyy better than the 15x8s. Took these with my Cell on the way to see how they feel. Also noticed my BBR tunes shifts at 6800.

Car looks good and aggressive. I typically don't like all black wheels but, you've sold me on those Darkstars. Are you running front brake coolers through the holes in the front bumper where the GT/CS fogs would normally be?

-Alex

BV600 02-02-2014 02:38 PM

Thanks. Nope I just found them for a good deal and thought it looks more aggressive then the standard GT plates would be

BV600 02-08-2014 02:37 PM

In the process of making a catch can would have had it done today but didn't get my vacuum caps.

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d2...ps1f324f81.jpg

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d2...ps1475e810.jpg

1)Catch Can (-10an)

2) JEGS Performance Products 103303 (-10) (2)

3) JEGS Performance Products#555-110931 (1)

4) JEGS Performance Products#555-110003 (2)

5 Dorman 02253 (caps) and small hose clamps.

Ive noticed some people do -8an and some do -10an I chose the -10an. Also will be pulling out the checkvalve instead of replacing the passenger with a driver pcv. This cost me 188.xx using the JEGS parts. I Know the Bobs motorsports can is $2xx? and a Peterson like you see on the Boss 302s are usually a lot.

BV600 02-12-2014 10:44 PM

Well the damn catch can was too ginormous...SO it was relocate the battery or get something smaller. Ended up getting the Odyssey PC680 and mount. Waiting for it to get here before I finish the can. Same battery vorshlag uses on their red car.

txfiremn 02-13-2014 11:20 PM

Car looks great! I'll keep an eye out for you now. Should be easy with the Darkstars.

BV600 02-20-2014 10:26 AM

All I need is a Filter, Different Pulley, and get a Pipe from TB to Intercooler fabbed up so I can keep the stock Fan and Coolant tank.
I will have pics up of the Lightweight battery and catch can within the next couple of days.

maxpayne 02-20-2014 11:35 AM

Keep it coming BV!

BV600 02-20-2014 02:14 PM

The holder for this came in today, maybe install pic today/tom.
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d2...ps34adf3bb.jpg

Shouldn't be a problem starting it as long as I daily drive it and it doesn't get cold again.

- 680 cranking amps for 5 seconds
- 595 cranking amps for 10 seconds
- 525 cranking amps for 20 seconds

BV600 02-21-2014 09:21 PM

Copy/paste from SVTP, making it easy

Put in a Odyssey P680 with Mount. Wish I would have went with a different mount but this will do. I need to extend the one wire from battery to fuse box. Anyone know if all the damn fuses on the Pos is necessary? Also took a little time to relocate some of the wire mess in front of the fuse box area. Plan is to do a fuse box / pcm relocate after I get a intercooler pipe from TB to Intercooler.

Finishing up the catch can now. Will have more pics of the hoses ran either tonight or tomorrow. Until then a couple of teaser pics. Also need to find a tiny ass drill to finish securing the bracket. I only have 3 in there now.

The Battery came semi charged. It took maybe 5 secs to crank and start. I let it run for 5 min and took half that. I let it run for 30min and it starts like the factory battery.

All that's left is blocking off the other side, to late though. Pass side a little to long but shoulding look bad when I put the cover back on or go to a boss manifold

That looks good. Did you put in a super small battery?

BV600 02-23-2014 03:02 PM

Yeah its wayyy smaller. I still have to extend the wire that runs to the fuse box, it was just long enough to make it but its too stretched for me.

txfiremn 02-23-2014 05:35 PM

Are you using a tuner that is local to Killeen?

BV600 02-23-2014 10:05 PM

I will probably use Central Texas Performance for the procharger which is maybe 10-15min from me. Right now I just have a BBR $50 tune for the ORX.

txfiremn 02-25-2014 05:31 PM

Ok, thanks.
