headrest question

Anyone ever swap a 2012 and above headrest into a 2011? I'm sure it's as simple as pull out and push in.... <ha ha.. but wondering. .. Also if you are trading in your 2012 and above and have the dark premium interior. ... I'll trade you headrests.. and toss in a little extra...

Are you referring to the headrest that tilt or doesn't tilt? I have 2012 non-tilting headrests available that are dark charcoal/black premium leather.

My 2011 does not tilt.. I thought the 12 and up tilted? So it's 13 and up?? I really thought the 12 did

2012 models built somewhere after July/August of 2011 had them. Most models built before it didn't. Unfortunately my car was June 2011 build and I got stuck with the non tilts that almost drove me insane. I ended up ordering the tilted versions from tousley. So yeah you can just swap them out with no problems

Are talking about the rear headrests? My 2011 backseat headrest tilt.

Not the rear.. The front. . You know how the 2011 front seats have that raked forward anti whiplash headrest? The 2012 and beyond do not.. it's adjustable, however in the event of a crash it's weighted so that it will tilt full forward and prevent whiplash. . I have seen aftermarket ones I just figured if someone was trading their s in I'd love to swap them out with a little cash on top

Man these headrest aint cheap but well worth it. Tousley has by far the cheapest price. There's a few threads with the part number on AllFordMustang.com. Good luck on the hunt
