Why did they use the 1LE?

Hmmm....their numbers in the video make no sense...

Base price: Camaro: $38K Mustang $32K
As tested: Camaro: $41K Mustang $46K

But in the video he stated the Mustangs performance package was $1K cheaper than the Camaro's....what else did they add to the Mustang? Unless they are speaking of interior upgrades....but if thats the case why not add the performance package to the base model then add suspension upgrades with the remaining money and it would smoke that Camaro in the corners....and still be $5K cheaper...

same reason why they chose a clip of the mustang spinning as their intro?

I believe the 1LE adds performance options over a standard SS just as this GT had standard options over a base GT.

To an extent. The Camaro SS comes with brembos, tires stock. The 1le is over it but ehhh i handed a 1le its ass this weekend with my fist.
