New 2012 GT

I have a candy red 2012 gt with some mods. Currently in Utah but moving to DFW soon. Probably north central area.

Car has
Airaid CAI
SCT tune
Lethal Offroad X
BMR LCAs
GT500 rear valence
GT500 wing
Black out panel
Roush Grill
CS front valence with fogs
Tint
3.73s
and a few other odds and ends. Hoping to hit the 1/4 mile a lot out there. It is a automatic. The gears really woke it up. Needs a converter or something else. Thinking headers next.

I have dyno charts somewhere. It did 378rwhp through the auto, not bad. Runs solid at the track.

Regardless of what site its on, a ysi c6z is cooler than any new stang except maybe a new Shelby. :). You welcome his Stang, Ill welcome another sick Vette to DFW

That's your opinion. We all here dig the new 5.0's as well. Great bang for the buck cars. If you can't appreciate the new 5.0's there is no point of you being here on this site. :slap:

unreal 01-13-2013 07:04 PM

That is why I have both.

I didn't bring up the slowvette.

DirtyD 01-13-2013 07:16 PM

Blow-By Racing just did a FYI post on SVTP about installing some Kooks 1 7/8 headers. They seemed to have good results.

I saw that, they make a nice difference, but DAMN are they expensive! lol.

Mike was offering a deal on Kooks in one of the other threads, if you guys want them check it out.

DirtyD 01-13-2013 08:20 PM

Yup. For what Mike was offering, it's definitely worth it!

unreal 01-13-2013 08:27 PM

I can get better pricing than that any day of the week from the shop on the corner. I would like to stay under $1k for headers.

I am confused, his price is under $1k. If you compare what he is offering for the kooks to what you find online that's pretty damn good, its about $100 to $130 cheaper than what i am seeing elsewhere.

GunsUp 01-13-2013 09:07 PM

Nah, putting my money in something else. I wont need those.

unreal 01-13-2013 09:56 PM

Kooks need their X-pipe so when you add that it is $1260.

Your full of crap. I know you and you won't do a turbo because your car will be down forever.

unreal 01-13-2013 10:24 PM

Turbos FTW. Friend has a TT 5th gen camaro with a kit he built. I keep telling him I'm going to drop the mustang off and let him turbo it but he needs to finish the production kits for the 5th gen before he can do mustang stuff. I worked for a turbo company all through college. Fun stuff.

Anywhere to see build info and pics/videos of it?

unreal 01-14-2013 02:52 PM

He isn't an online person. I had it as a rental car for a week when I flew out to arizona. On a stock l99 automatic 2012 SS it made 680rwhp/740rwtq. Plenty of fun on the street. That was 11psi with dual 56mms. This is the shop prototype car. Final kits will be all powdercoated. Just waiting on the manifold casting to be machined before shipping them.

I only have a few pictures I took when I had it

Turbos are tiny little 56mms. They spool around 1800rpms full boost.

Car is bone stock besides the turbo kit and rims. Street tires/pump gas, first time out went a bunch of 11.7@126-127 spinning through 3rd gear. Several times he lined up against a paxton 2012 car with headers, boss intake, etc and that car ran 12.0@122-123 for reference.

Camaro needs a stall bad. Stock stall wouldn't let it launch or spool up off the line at all.

Anyways, camaros are lame so back to mustang talk.
