Fuel system upgrade

Most of y'all know what I'm doing to the car but my question should I upgrade to a return style fuel system. I'll be running 60lb injectors cause of the e85 tune and I already have a BAP. But should I do this upgrade or not?

What's your overall goal?

BLK2012GT 01-09-2013 04:49 PM

With the mods I've done and doing I hope to make 550 rwhp NA and about 800 rwhp with a 250 shot.

I would do a stand alone fuel cell for the nitrous. Your fuel system should be fine NA but on spray you're going to need alot of fuel especially on E85. It will be more cost effiecent as well. If you don't want to do that. The yes you're going to need to upgrade, 60lb injectors and a BAP won't be enough.

Something like this.

Now how will this exactly help out on fuel? Are you saying with nitrous I would need to run race gas?

Basically the stand alone fuel cell is like a seperate small gas tank that has its own pump. That only pumps fuel to your fuel solenoid on your nitrous kit. This way you don't have to worry about upgrading the rest of your fuel system to handle the extra fuel needed for when you spray.

Since youre running E85 just fill the tank with that its as good as race gas and will get the job done fine.

Is the pump on the stand alone fuel cell a better pump then stock one on the car?

You can put whatever pump you want on it but the stand alones only job is to only add fuel for nitrous so a huge pump is not really needed.

Ok cool thanks for the info.

Stand alone is a fantastic idea, espicially for a 250 shot. I'd run 93 in the tank and c16 or similar in the standalone. My friend didn't have good luck with e85 on a huge shot..

Well are those good prices that nitrous outlet is offering or should I look elsewhere?

Toby 01-10-2013 12:16 AM

Nitrous doesn't require as much fuel as a boosted car.

So you don't think I need to do anything?

BLK2012GT 01-10-2013 12:18 AM

I just want to make sure I'm safe and don't break anything.
