Red pigments are the most expensive, especially when you get into the micas, metallics, and candies. They also smell a little different when painting.
If you want a suggestion, try GM code 70U which is Torch Red as applied on the C5 Corvettes. Nice color.

That is a pretty color of red. Im just asking for suggestions and personal experience from people. You are right red is very $$$. Im trying to stay away from pearls and candies. Just want a nice deep red.
Anyway I ended up being pretty pissed off at my bodyshop. I made the appt for the 23rd and drove from where i live to the bodyshop (which is an hrs drive) to be told that he wouldnt be able to get my car in this week. I was fucking pissed. I made the appt 2 1/2 weeks ago and the cars in the lot were different then the cars that were there that day i made the appt.
When I pointed this out he said nothing and said bring it back on the 14th of july and he would "take care of me". At this point im searching for a new shop.
