So I ordered the bezel shift kit from late model restoration.
It did not come with the metal trim that goes with the lower shift boot. Is it necessary for me to use that trim or is it possible to install with out it? The reason why I'm asking is that my bastardized interior did not have one with the car. If it matters the transmission is a C4 and my 85 has aero interior.
My 2nd question has to do with the E-brake. My car currently does not have one installed. I assume this is from the previous owner not knowing what to do when he converted the interior. The ebrake is centered on the 4 eye where as the console for the aero has the handle closer to the passenger seat. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could go about installing one while utilizing the 87-93 center console? Or am I stuck hacking up the floor to make it work?
