Default Remove a/c or fix

I'm trying to decide if I want to try and fix my a/c or just pull it. Its a vert so most the time the top is down and driven at night or when cool. A plus would be I would get rid of some weight removing it all. Damn I just can't decide.

Every time I've removed the a/c from one of my cars, I end up regretting it. Think getting caught in the rain on a hot Texas night.

My theory is keep it stock (weight) and throw more power at it.

Fix it. You may not use it much being a toy and a convertible, but you never know you just may want to use it on some ridiculous hot day.

Plus, some day if you decide to sell the car, one of the first questions you will get is "does it have working AC?" When they hear it doesn't have AC at all, that's where interest usually dies. Do yourself a favor and leave it on there.

I went 2 years daily driving a fox with no a/c. It was miserable, but obviously can be done. Just gotta decide where your priorities are.

If it was something i drove a lot, it would have a/c no doubt. That being said i only drive my fox to the track or a gtg and when it's nice out and it does not have a/c.

It's a weekend toy. It's not like I drive it a lot. I decided to try to see if it worked the other day and it didn't. I don't honestly know what's wrong with it. I think one of the lines has a leak so I would have to find that and I know the condenser needs to be replaced. Other than that I will have to test.

I don't plan on ever selling the car so that isn't a major issue but it could happen if I just had to.

Get rid of the a/c and smog pump and run a shorter belt.
