HID Retrofit
Picked up these babies this afternoon:
Going to retrofit them. They came off of a 10GT.
I'll keep my progress posted here. I plan on going all out, LED signal conversion and all that jazz.

Thank you for doing it the right way, Randy.
What kit and bulb temp, and wattage are you going with?

Well that was a bitch. Took about 5 times in the oven to be able to work one side completely off. After you get it apart everything else is easy though.
First thing I did was remove the orange blinker cover. Looks so much better without it.
In case you were wondering there IS a reflector behind the orange:
So that's ready for the switchback LED conversion. Gonna look sick.
Also I noticed the chrome-trim comes off. So I could paint the housing red and keep the chrome trim. Probably won't... but that option is there:
More to come soon...

Awesome. Did the adhesive give you a good fight? Or just needed a good bit of heat to it to make it workable?
Also, it may be just me, but I like the orange reflectors in front of the turn signal. IDK if it's legal to run them being removed, but you can always get the stealth blinker bulbs that are clear when not illuminated and illuminate amber when turned on.

SICK! I can't wait to see more progress. I have been telling myself I was going to do this since I have my stokers laying round but haven't found time / extra cash to do it. If you go LED turn signals don't forget to get a resistor so the signals will blink at normal speed and not "hyper flash".
I look forward to seeing more!

Removing th yellow part is completely legal, Texas requires either yellow or white lighting in the front, and since the bumper reflector is still on the car there is no question as to if it passes.
Just figured I'd ease your mind, I'm a certified state inspector so I kinda have to stay on top of things like this. Lol
Btw the lights look awesome! Can't wait to see the finished product!

I think I am about to do this on my coming days off this week and paint the chrome trim / housing gloss black.

Can you post finished pics on car? And did you take out the amber turn signal part and just leave it like that or installed a clear lense?
