Doug and Mason, believe me or not, the car weighs over 3800 with me in it... so that sacrifices a lot in the ole hp/weight ratio a fox body normally has.

Damn i had no idea they were that heavy. Mine has no back seat and a couple other small things but i hope it's around 3100. Stock k member everything under dash and working order plus a 6pt cage with swing out bars.

The Vert or the 4 eye?
Will...you should bring that sexy teal cobra out more.

He's talking about the vert. That's what mine weighs as well. If you want a light fox buy a coupe, I like cruising with the top down so Ill take the weight.
My Fox... 92 Coupe 5.0/5spd with a Black interior. Not much done to the engine, just explorer intake, long tubes and ORH, under drive pulleys. I've been focused on brakes/suspension since I got it cause it was total crap. Up front it now has SN95 cobra brakes, new booster/master/manual prop valve, 95 front spindles, Tokico front struts, Eibach sportlines, new poly sway bushings, poly front control arm bushings, and ball joints. Out back I took out the old SN95 disk rear with crappy gears and I'm installing a 04 Cobra IRS with cobra rear brakes. The rear Eibach springs I have won't work with the IRS so I'll need to either find the rears to match or I will just cut the stock springs to get it level until I can buy the Coil over kit for the whole thing from MM.
I really need to get my ass out to the garage and finish it up. Right now I need to drop the gas tank so I can drill the holes for the rear IRS mount and bolt it on. Then I need to finish the brake hard lines for the rear. I have the tubing and connectors I need as well as the MM braided soft lines. Then I really just have to reassemble the IRS and put the tank back on and it'll be ready to go.
Here's what she looked like last time I drove her.

As donnie said, the convertibles are pretty heavy. That and this one has full griggs, double subframes (upper and lower) extra bracing, torque arm, pan hard, larger brakes, and a pretty heavy stereo with double sound deadening throughout, and heavy aftermarket heated and cooled seats. Sub and box weighs bout 85 lbs by itself, and if you saw the door panels you would understand where the weight comes from. Thats also with an alum motor and a blower... i wish it was lighter but it is what it is.
New to the forum. Wanted to share a pic of my brother's blue fox body mustang and my black 5.0. Let me know what you guys think. BTW, the black mustang is up for SALE in case anyone is interested.
