I despise the Yankees and Lakers. They will ALWAYS be good teams, they both have so much history and the biggest sports markets in the nation, not to mention they'll pay triple the salaries and not even glance at the luxury tax. Now I'm not hating on the history, just the fact that it's so easy for them to acquire and retain already developed players.

If Steinbrenner isn't worried about it, why are you? All he wanted to do was win..at all costs. Winning is all that mattered. Why? Because that is what sells tickets, merchandise, endorsements, sponsorships, money from the state etc. It's big business and there is much more to it than just baseball and he figured that out a long time ago. The very same reason Jerry Jones still holds on to the Cowboys even though they suck - because it's a money makin machine.
