Default Oil Change

Finally went through all of my free oil changes at the dealer. I do still have a couple 24.99 coupons. Should I use it or make the switch to Mobil 1/Amsoil? If so what are you using? Brand of oil filter?

I never even used the free oil changes from the dealership. They wanted to keep my car for the whole day just to chance the damn oil. Too much hassle just for that.

Yeah I think the longest mine took was an hour. Most of the time it was 30-45 and my car was freshly washed too. lol I'm going to miss it. Thought about keep going to the dealer till my warranty is out so they can't use me changing my own oil against me if something goes wrong.

I got 4 free oil changes. I just cracked 15k miles today and I need to do it again soon. Doing the math it's about half the cost to do it at the dealer with the coupons. They will even do the tire rotation and inspection. Can't beat 24.99

Oil is mostly personal preference. I've always stuck with Mobil and nothing less. Amsoil is great....but pricey. You'll definitely want the Motorcraft filter (FL500S if I recall) hands down! No exceptions IMO.

I did one pretty quick after I got it. I think at 2k and then at every 4k ish miles. I was putting on mileage pretty quick.

I use Mobil1 in my Camaro, and currently have Royal Purple in the Stang.

Mobil 1 extended full synthetic for me. Walmart 5 qt prices can't be beat! Bill Utter is pretty quick with oil changes. I would say an hour max, but usually 30 to 45 minutes on a Saturday.
