If you aren't going to trade the car, why are you wasting your time doing all this? Just for shits and giggles?

They probably don't give a crap about the 2014s because the 2015s and new body is about to come out and kill 2014s values.

Garner,
It's not just Mustangs, it's ANY car to trade in. I used to own a used car dealership and worked at several new car lots.

Trade ins are a huge profit center for dealerships. Behind your back they'll use terms such as P.O.S. if it's in bad condition and "took your head off" if they get your car at a low price.

Some people will argue the tax savings, but this doesn't compare to selling the car outright to a private buyer. You'll still come out way ahead selling privately. People who don't have patience to do it always take a bath on trade ins.

Do yourself a favor and put it back to original as much as possible and then post it on Craigs to sell to a private buyer. It'll take longer but will be worth it. Any modded looking car people think you drove the piss out of it and mentally it loses value.

One more thing, if you have a private buyer and already identified the new car you want, you can go to the dealership and process the transaction there. You still get the tax savings and the private buyer pays the higher retail used price for your car which is applied to the new car you buy. You get the best of both that way.

I may trade. People around here are color blind I swear lol. But at these values, I'll just wait for the next color blind person to total it

What does people being color blind have to do with trading in a car? Why did you buy it in the first place?

Im not a ricer bro, Id keep a 25 k mustang over paying 100 for a gtr. Id love a Supra but they are over inflated price wise imo too.

Again, hes at a Hyndai dealer, they very likely dont have a gtr and if they did, unlikely hes buying one at 19. Yes my boss bought his 17 year old son one, but my boss isnt on here complaining about 2 to 3 grand difference on a trade in either.

You love to make arguements for the sake of it, so yes I left that one open for ya. Good job, I owe you a cookie.

It is a business, we need to make money somewhere but that's not always the case lol... I sell used cars and man, it's tough making money when you're buried in the car. I wish our dealership was better at getting trades at a good price.

I've flicked through this thread, OP, what are you looking for exactly?

If you are worried about resale/trade-in you should have never bought a car. Trucks hold their value because even if its a toy for you a couple years down the road its still valuable to someone to use for work. I drove my last Raptor for a year and put 14k miles on it paid 48,500 OTD and got 47,500 back on trade.

Yeah people get all retarded when it comes to Raptors, they are nice trucks but they aren't the greatest thing ever. I would take an F250 powerstroke with a Carli suspension over a Raptor anyday.
