I still need to take you up on the offer to pick up the Viper to take the wife out to dinner in it. Our anniversary is coming up soon.

<----has driven the Viper.

What you're failing to realize is that both Junkie and Strokd have FAR FAR more racing experience and have been MUCH faster than you ever have in many different types of cars and they are telling you from personal experience. You're taking your information straight off the internet from God knows where like some hack journalist with a personal agenda who is being paid for their endorsement. Many of us have already seen what the new Vette's are doing on the street and they are pretty much on par with C6 performance or even slightly weaker.

No it's not that at all. I have great respect for their personal experience and race knowledge. I don't doubt that they may have in fact seen someone drive a C6 faster than a C7 but, as we all know, that doesn't equate that C6s are faster than C7s. Not stock for stock. If you put the same driver in a C6 in a C7, the C7 will be faster all day everyday.

I don't agree that a few handfulls of instances dictate overall performance and drivers across the board. I highly doubt Chevrolet would spend this much R&D to make more power, use better tires, make the car more slippery to make it accelerate slower than the previous car. I know Ferrari got away with it with the F50 from the F40 but not on the home front .

12.102 @ 117.60 - Dingrao - 08 A6 - (3561)
12.127 @ 116.59 - Pettvette - 08 A6 - (4278)

Keep in mind, the C6 base car got a hp increase. The C7 has been out for one year, so technically if you're going to compare apples to apples, you compare first year car to first year car. But even still a LT1 is still faster than an LS3 C6.

Lowest time for a LS3C6 is 117.18, LT1 C7 is 11.496. So the LS3s are faster eh?

Can't tell if you're serious. Are you discrediting the times posted because they are simply on a forum you don't like?

I dont dislike CF

I just value what I see in the real world, actually racing. Vs what someone reads on the internet.

When I first bought a Gen4 Viper, the fastest one had gone was 10.8@131

I guess my 10.6@135 must be faked, damn you internet! I thought I really ran that time

So again, should these numbers posted by people than ran the times be discredited because you didn't see it happen?

Got it. An 11.718 is somehow faster than a 11.496 because you didn't see it happen lol.

I watched a stock LS3 C6 beat the brakes off 2 C7's in person at a car meet in DFW.

That > reading shit on the internet and thinking I actually know what im talking about.

Since my Viper isnt on some master internet webmaster list, does that mean it didn't happen?
