Why not just go for a 6.7 PSD? With incentives and model year end Ford/dealer rebates, you could get a loaded F350 that will get you better mileage than any of those vehicles, and with with a few pennies in it, will rain coal on all other cars.

You can't go wrong with a diesel.

I think it depends on what your plans are for the truck.

I would choose a new F150 then.

But honestly, the 5.0 in an FX4 would be comparable to the Ecoboost FX4.

Do you plan on ever using the 4WD if you get it?

But LOL @ the comment about "low miles". It's a 6 year old truck with ~72k. That's about average. If it had like 12k, that's another story.

Hopefully it's got some go fast goodies on it.

Agreed. Coming from a country boy, it kind of irritates me how all these frat fags up here throw 6"+ lifts and 35"+ tires on a truck and then laugh when you ask if they've ever wheeled in it, or reply with something about a dirt road.

Do not buy a 4x4 if it will never go off the concrete/asphalt. Get a 2wd. You gain back the power lost from the TC, plus they are typically [numerically] lower geared for better MPG.

I think you should get a regular cab F150 2wd with a 5.0 in it. Easily a Gen 3 Lightning.

Roughly 12k/year. That's about avg. Plus, he may have not had the speedo corrected after the tires. Never know.

My dad has a 2001 with ~135k last I checked. And it's been on many road trips.

My truck was a 2001 as well, with ~182k. That's a lot of miles.
