I suppose I am the minority here but I do not believe in using a cell phone when behind the wheel. It furiates me when I see someone talking/texting on their phone while "sharing" the roadway with others. Both hands on the wheel and looking straight ahead should be the law. Ok, maybe that is a bit extreme, but studies have shown cell phone use is just as dangerous as drunk driving. Not only that but they have also shown hands free cell phones are just as dangerous as handheld cell phones.

Whenever I am driving, I can identify pretty much anyone who is talking/texting on their phone. Usually they drive slower and/or swerve in their lane. When I pass them and glance over, sure enough they are on the fucking phone. Oh it drives me crazy. They will not realize how much danger they are putting themselves in, not to mention everyone else, until they have an accident, or worse, kill someone.

Hence why I like SYNC for hands free talk.

I agree with everything you said, with exception of one part. I believe it's people actually handling the phone up to their ear, trying to dial/text or just talking that are having to concentrate on holding the phone up and listening to what is being said.

With the hands free bluetooth, you can verbally dial and have a conversation on the phone no differently than if someone is riding in the car with you. I have no problem with the hands free activity, it's the idiots who can't be seperated from their phone physically for the brief time while their in the cars that are the problem.

That's the whole point for me...with Sync my phone goes in the console and I don't touch it while driving...I can answer calls, make calls, listen & reply to texts, etc. all while having both hands on the wheel. This is kind of a big deal for me b/c I live quite a ways from where my office is, and a lot of my business is done over the phone.

FYI - I got the text reply working again....but still have to manually disconnect.
