Default Rear diff leak

Noticed a little bit of fluid on the rear diff earlier today. No stains on the garage floor so I don't think its much. I've been researching and it appears to be a pretty common problem with 2005-2013 Mustangs. I have read it is the vent tube that is spilling out fluid during hard acceleration and/or cornering. Factory may have overfilled the diff? Some said to unscrew the drain plug and let it out til it stops. I believe factory spec says to fill 1/8" below the drain hole but I need to reconfirm that with the manual.

Have any of you experienced this? I will get underneath the car later and see if I can find exactly where it is coming from.

Just spill over from the diff as the fluid heats up and expands...

Yes very common with the newer cars. I believe shelby makes a catch can for the rear diffs to help alleviate this problem.
