Default Gt500 pcv?

Read some threads on using a gt500 pcv and was wondering if anyone has used one to slow down the oil coating? I believe the passenger side?

Worst idea ever!!! Basically it just restricts the evac system so it's harder for the oil to get out. I would not recommend doin this!! I have personally seen cars that have done this and they end up with a leaking front crank seal.

Buy a QUALITY catch can if you are having problems with oil getting sucked through the evac.

^ Increased pressure. I plan to go with Bob's catch can.

Shaun @ AED runs passenger side only on his car. For a car that is relatively stock, or lightly modded, everyone seems to say it is okay. Now on a boosted application, that is another story.

Running both sides, however, would definitely cause some issues.

I pulled both lines off this weekend and they were dry as a bone. 10k miles. Check your lines to see if you are really losing oil before wasting your money.

I purchased the JLT catch can for my passenger side. After removing my stock one there was oil built up in the lines, not a lot, I actually installed it yesterday afternoon and checked it today when I did my first oil change (5k) and the bottom of the catch can had been almost completely covered. Ive still got my stock one on my driver side, but you guys are saying its a bad idea? Never heard that before, and from I see/hear the driver side doesn't have this problem.

I would never recommend to restrict the evac on a customer car. If anything if recommend a properly setup vacuum pump..

Vacuum pump yes but as far as a pcv is concerned te gt500 pcv seal better at wot. At idle it's not gna matter as the pcv is open. The vented pcv are a joke.

orilly? Every high hp car i build, this is how I setup the evac with 0 issues... It eliminates any chance that oil can get sucked in causing detonation and destroying the engine.

How does the gt500 seal better at wot? You are going from having 2 5/8 hoses for evac to get sucked through to only 1...
