Default H pipe installed and dyno'd

jerseyjoe and myself both had After cat JBA H pipe installed, both of us had base line dyno pulls and after install pulls.

Difference's
Mine - blk 13 brembo, drop in K&N filter, borla S, resonators deleted.

Joe's- grabber blue 14, roush AB's

Pulls were done on a mustang dyno.

Best 5th gear pull for me before install was 346lbs and 357hp...After install and damn near 20 degrees hotter I ended up loosing 10lbs and 9hp..? temp?

Joe can chime in and post his number and graphs..

best of the first 3 pulls

after install

before

after

Hard to hear any difference in the video's but it did clean up the exhaust slightly, but other than that same old sound..

joes

before

after

I also did 2 1/4 pulls and before Joe posts the awesome video of the second one.. The first run was 13.1

so yes they're slow

Looks like you were at Steve's shop. Sounds about right.

Why did you waste money on the after cat h and not just wait for the o/r h.

Grabber Blue 2014 - Baseline Dyno Pull, 3.73's, 6 spd, roush ab's. Not bad on a mustang dyno and a hot day. Installing the new h-pipe and keeping the cats didnt do too much to the numbers.

363 hp
346 tq

Hey buddy I had to figure this out the hard way on my 96 Cobra, H pipes actually give up about 6-10 whp over X pipes. They just don't flow as well, I decided the exhaust tone was what I wanted so I sacrificed the hp for the H pipe. If you want to see better number cat deletes and an X pipe would do it.

Svt performance did a test when the 2011 mustangs came out a the "X" pipe only gains 3 to 5 horse. You would never even notice that

You paid to have a shop install, and then dyno'd, an h-pipe that keeps the stock cats? Just want to make sure I read that right.

Yes, to see exactly where I'm at and what I gain with the soon to come mods. A waste for sure, but hell of price so why the fuck not.
