Default Stock C6 vs. Stock 5.0

Stock 2013 Mustang 5.0 vs Stock 2013 Base C6 Corvette. Just curious how we would fair?

Should not end well for the 5.0. I know my 04 C5Z will run dead even or out run stock 5.0's. and an LS3 C6 is substantially faster.

Well I know they have a little bit more horsepower and obviously they weigh less just curious how bad the vette would beat a 5.0

Only if the vette has a shitty driver.

When my car was stock I ran a stock C6 on drag radials at Kennedale, I tree'd him but by the 1/8th he had already caught me. His ET was lower but I got there first. Another 1/8 mile and he would have been well ahead. I have a video and timeslip, I'll see if I can find it when I get off work.

What does a stock C6 base coupe run anyway? Most of them I've seen are just like Mustangs, a good driver can get them to run in the 12s but most are in the 13s. Seems like it would be a good race to me.

There sure seem to be a lot of C5 and C6 cars represented here in stock Mustang territory: http://www.dragtimes.com/Chevrolet--...?resultpage=15

Stock Auto C6 would walk away. Stock Manual C6 would be a drivers race.

I would definitely say it is a driver's race with the vette pulling up top. My 5.0 I could just get into the 12s. 12.8 @ 111. ( Manual-bad driving, Dallas Mustang tune-not so great) I did have the boss mani, tune, cold air, wider wheels and tires though. My stock vette has ran, at its slowest, a 12.4@ 116. The fastest being a 12.1@ 117. Stock everything...including the heavy ass run flats. It's an auto btw. I would say it takes full exhaust and intake on a stang and then it should start getting some c6 ls3s. It would be neck and neck with the ls2s stock. (07 and prior)

Really? Any stock auto Vette off the showroom floor will run a 12.1 @ 117? I did not know that.
