Factory headers flow good.

Stock headers flow good. Well designed by ford. If you into it. Do a cat delete first alot cheaper.
Me I went with jba long tubes

I really like stainless works and kooks for their quality and being American Made. We're running some great sales right now on all our exhaust. PM me for pricing.

Nothing wrong with shorties on these platforms. They do offer gains over the stock tri-y headers and will shift your powerband higher. Couple those with an O/R X-pipe and you have a combo that is damn close to LT's in peak power for much less money.

I ran BBK shorties on my 2011. They do change the sound of the car. Not the same as LT's but more of an exotic European sound. Coupled with the Magnaflow 15591 cat-back, one of the best sounding exhausts I have heard on these cars.

A few pics:

Also, if you are going to go with a LT setup, pay careful attention to the primary tube placement where they merge at the collectors. Pypes has the correct firing order and both sets I have installed fit perfectly.

Pypes? Really? I would have never guessed. Are they pretty good headers concerned to BBK/Kooks?

If you decide to do headers go with the LTs otherwise do a catdelete and o/r/x

Also, either plan to pay a shop a decent amount of $$ for install or set aside an entire day at your house/driveway.

Will aftermarket offroad pipes (lethal performance) bolt up or did you have to by BBK h/x pipes?

My car runs 10's N/A with them. I replaced a set of Dynatech headers with a set of Pype's. That car ran 180MPH at the Texas Mile naturally aspirated.

I can't definitively say how much they are worth as far as gains go but they are on some of the quickest/fastest N/A 5.0's out there.

Yes. I was running a Lethal O/R X with them.
