916's didn't come out until the eary 70's and were a race only version of the 914. This was a 1950's 550 Spyder replica. (James Dean special!) VERY well done though. I've always wanted to do a 356 replica.

You're right. Inknew it was one of the older body styles, but I didn't have the right model number. I just knew it was the one that looked like the Jag D type
