Default 3.31 vs 3.73

Have any of you guys arena difference when running the 2 cars against each other? I really haven't been able to find much on this. Will the cars run close or will one walk away?

a 3.73 car will reach the power band quicker than a 3.31 car, but if given enough room, the 3.31 car will end up in front because the top speed will be slightly higher from having a taller, longer gear.

also, it depends on if you are trying to go from a dig or a roll. 3.73 might give you traction problems in lower gears with quick acceleration, but would spin the RPMs quicker once traction is had.

Depends on if your talking about from a roll or dig. Equal power would be a drivers race imo

Well find some one lol. I need to see the outcome so I can see if I need to pull the 3.31s out of my car before I start modding more!

I was think that to. In my supercharge 06 I went from 4.10s back down to 3.55s. I think that gear is probably the best of both worlds for boost and n/a.

If you want to do straight line racing, rather highway or track, and don't plan to go boost, get 3.73s. If you plan to go boost, as Nic (midnight) said, stay 3.31s.

I have 3.31s and will be keeping them because I plan on going TVS down the road.

Which is great for a track car taking a lot of driver error out of the equation.

I suspect you will change those at some point because you will get tired of blowing tire and losing to cars with less power.
