Default Charity Road Rally!

Our Clear Blue Sky rally was a big success, with 33 cars entering. They were well tested on the roads of the LBJ National Grasslands near Decatur. There were five Mustangs entered in the event, one of whom came in fourth in Novice Class.

Next is our annual charity rally, the Children's Book Run, which benefits the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Your donation is one new children's book per person in your car. We will deliver them to Scottish Rite the week after the event.

Course following will be easy. There are no course traps. The challenge is deciding which sign along your route answers the question given. As many of you know, that can be tough. We are spending less time on defining the route, and more time on making fun questions. We still managed to find some good driving roads, of course.

The date is Saturday, October 3rd.

Please go to www.msreg.com/CBR15msr for all the details. If you like what you see, you can register right there....just page down and click on Continue.

Rally news!

Our trip to Decatur was a little further to the northwest than we usually go. Now you have a chance to visit country roads due north of Dallas (Collin County), and northeast, for our annual trip to Paris.

October 3rd is the date of our annual charity rally, benefiting Scottish Rite Hospital. The Children's Book Run will start and end in McKinney, and run on some familiar and some new roads in Collin County. You are asked to bring one new children's book for each person in your car. Course following will be easy, finding answers to the Questions will be a challenge. Go to www.msreg.com/CBR15msr for all the details. We have a Plymouth Prowler, VW Jetta TDI, 2 Mazdas, and other cars entered at the moment.

October 24 will see us heading northeast on a trip to Paris, Texas to visit the Lamar County Festival of Pumpkins. Richard and Juanita Miller have cooked up their usual fun drive for the Great Pumpkin Rally, with their special humor-infused sign hunt to keep you from getting bored. Registration will be open at www.msreg.com/GPR15msr in the next few days.

I hope to see some of you at one or both of these events. And make sure to leave room on your calendar for our last event of the season, the Tour To The Tombstones on December 5.
