Default Drag Radials

What are the pros and cons with drag radials used on the street 99% of the time?

Scary during rain. Longevity, most last under 10k miles, some as little as 3 to 5k. Awesome straight line traction.

I would only run them with boost, otherwise waste of money.

I heard they are scary dangerous in the rain but mine is not a Daily. A buddy of mine had MT streets and his car would spin out all day. Was that from running normal street PSI or was that because they were not heated up?

A little of both. 30 psi is not the optimum pressure for a DR for sure. I run them on the green car year round, but it's not a daily.

If you're dead set on running them, look at Nitto's. They will last 10k miles on the street, are decent in the rain and don't suck too bad at the track. If you're not worried about life span, just stay with M/T's and run them around 28psi everyday, then lower that when you're at the track.
