Long tubes are just going to accentuate the feeling. Honestly different gears and a tune are going to be your best bet. You already have 3.73s, maybe a 4.10?

I had 4.10's. got rid of them within 200 miles.

I certainly wouldn't want them, just giving options for more low end like the OP asked for.

We have a small block 302. There is no such thing as low end power or tq.

I have longtubes it picked up low end it's not just a "feeling"
