Default Tuning the 5.0

Central Texas Performance, owned and operated by Jeff Smith was the premier tuner for us guys in the Central Texas area around Killeen and Fort Hood. For personal reasons he is shutting his doors and no longer offering any of his services. For those of us that have been tuned by him over the years, this means we have to look elsewhere for our tuning and modification needs. We have a local Mustang Club and work together on installation of parts however, ensuring we have a good tune is now our big issue. Who do you guys consider to be the premier tuner in the DFW area? (We are also fully aware of email tunes being a great alternative but want to find a shop that tunes on a dyno). I know there will be mixed responses based on peoples shop loyalty etc., however, I should be able to see the trend of responses as to who is good and who we should stay away from. Thanks guys!

Brenspeed is known nationally and they are also one of our forum sponsors. They have opened their second location in Cedar Hill and can do custom dyno tuning.

We are out of McKinney. We offer "VIP" tuning for DFW5.0 members and will get you on the Dyno within 7-10 days upon your initial inquiry for tuning regardless of our current schedule. Give us a call at the shop (972.542.9886) If you like what we have to say, great! If not; well that's cool too!

I've heard many good things about True Street Motorsports & HPP, I personally have seen/had good service and work from Gearheads Performance out in Arlington. (Downtime, rebelracer) have both used them as well.

This just seems like such an easy fix...add another investor to help expand the shop and find quality help to offload the work. Appears to be an obvious opportunity to grow the business...

Spent a lot of time with Jeff at the track tonight. He is NOT shutting the doors. He is very busy due to lack of help currently and has had to turn some work away because of that. That's the right thing to do rather than make people wait forever.

Interesting. His CTP facebook page said it was closed. Guess he had a change of heart?
