I would be willing to be $38k is going to be VERY close. the F150s have gotten too damn expensive

Cars in general have gotten too expensive. Even crappy econoboxes are the price of what Mustangs used to MSRP for...

Part of the reason the Ranger is gone. Who the fuck would buy a brand new Ranger for $20k+ when you can buy a 5 year old loaded diesel for the same price

Not really. A 1990 mustang GT brand new was $20,456, in 2012 dollars that would be $35,389. The window sticker from a 2012 5.0 was $40,105. So that's an increase of less than $5,000. So in reality they have somewhat stayed closely related.
