I have an XD40 3" Sub compact and switched to an XDs45 for CC.. 5+1 or 7+1 with the extended mag. it is a little thinner than the XD40 and it is just more comfortable for me to carry. I can CC it in sweatpants or shorts with the IWB holster.

I have a sig p238 that my wife carried in her purse but the cocked back hammer irritated me for a gun laying in a purse so I put my XD40 in her purse. That being said im going to get her an XDS45 as well. she is small and the .45 is easy for her to shoot. minimal muzzle rise even for a heavy round in a short barrel.

I love the baby sig for a pocket gun.. but think ill eventually get rid of it for something else with an internal hammer.

Winchester Model 88 .308 Lever Action. - Can shoot dead on at 200 yards. Deer Rifle.
Ruger .380 - Full time carry
Stoeger 3500 Camo 12g - Hunting Gun
Mossberg 500a Tactical - Get out of my house gun
Sawed Off (can't remember brand) 20g - Traveling/Back-up when hunting/Get out of my house gun. It's a blast to shoot rambo one handed style.

I'll post pics later.

Thinking of picking up a Remington 700 BDL 30-06. Not sold on the 30-06 though, if I should maybe go with .308. Seems a little cheaper for ammo.

Oh, what i do own is just a Banelli Nova 12-gauge pump w/ 17" barrel. It is just there for home defense.

A buddy of mine at work keeps talking about selling one of his. If you're interested I'll see what he wants for it.

Hopefully, not for an arm and leg. Holy crap those prices skyrocketed after the Hook shooting. Screwed it up for all of us. Although there must be some light at the end of the tunnel. I was at Academy yesterday and picked up 50 rounds of 9mm for $12.95. Did this dance in the store when I saw it---> :pepper:

And since no one has posted any revolvers here.

1918 Colt 32-20 Police Positive Special(fun gun to shoot):

.308 can be a bitch to find, and 30.06 is expensive as shit.. I love my 700.

Hmm... i'll have to think of that.

Friend pointed me to a rifle he loves last night but is a bit higher in price than i would like. Browning A-bolt II (they just came out with the III). He said he loves the action on it a lot more and feels it is just a little better made.

Either way... back to saving and resisting the urge to put new speakers/sub into the mustang :head3:

Hold out for a few months and let the supply outweigh the "fear" demand. Prices starting to drop again. Now if you want something already setup, that's a different story. Good luck on finding one! Try and find battle pack ammo easy cheap bulk.

Gun shows mainly.. Every now and then you will see sales at bass pro and cab. for basic line bushmasters and dpms for 699 some with carry handles or red dots. So if all you want is something you're going take the range a few times at first and maybe once every 3 months, then those are perfectly fine.
IMO stay away from the 699 bushy.. I had two of them that I kept having to send in for work due to them being over gassed and ripping the case apart trying to extract.

Personally, my next AR will be piston.. Heavier, more parts that "could" fail, yet more along the lines of AK reliable with less maintenance compared to a gas system.

Best bet, grab a buddy who knows wtf to look for and find a local FTF sale, best part is no papers! So the next time people are freaking out about the man you can sit back with a beer saying "what rifle"?

I got mine from gun gear 2 go in plano. they were on sale so I had to pick it up. My DPS has been awesome.

jng2985 07-05-2013 03:11 PM
