I believe magazine reviews said their was no difference, however I'd like to know which calipers held up better on the track. Which ones had more fade, etc. So about those rotors??

They also allow for quick pad changes at the track 15 minutes

Sorry guys.

Here is what I purchased. Except mine came with new pads.

Surely there has to be an advantage to the Brembo upgrade? maybe they stop in the same distance as factory but I bet they continue to do it a lot longer than factory, or at least I hope so.

btw: your CS looks amazing....I love the look.

From the tests I've seen a Brembo Car stops about 7-10ft shorter than the stock brakes from 60. They contribute 3-5ft of that to the upgraded tires though too. As stated above it allows for fast pad changes and from the tests the brake fade was the main difference on the track. For the brakes, rims, tires, springs I felt it was worth the 1675 or whatever it is.

Nice upgrade. How much were the calipers and hardware?

I'll take that bet and your money. Talking about a 4 piston caliper that can't do as well as a 2 piston caliper? Rotors alone with good pads make a night and day difference. Hell I picked up several tenths in my times by switching to better equipment. :favorites37:

Where did you buy the brembo calipers from?

Edit: I am not sure what ac427cobra is. Haha. Thanks!

I installed a set of gt500 brembos on the gt, they absolutely stop better. When Im runnning around riding the brakes real hard, real often, these have a tendency to not Have brake fade like the stockers did.

Plus, they look SICK on stock base gt wheels!!
